Kiddie Kandids are nice, but I know of a very nice, professional woman that does photo sessions from her home, she is wonderful! Her website is: www.fototales.com

I also give a thumbs up to Kiddie Kandids at BRU in Sterling Heights. Also you can use a BRU gift card for pictures. One thing that's nice is you get sheets. You don't have to buy a package.
A friend just went to Portrait Innovations by Lakeside. The pictures looked great but she ended up spending more because the packages didn't have the size options she needed.

Wal-Mart has great deals and you make an appointment so not bad for time. When we have pics done I try to get the first appt in the morning so you aren't waiting on the person before you to be done.

Waterhouse Photography in Auburn Hills does great work! They took pictures of my 5 year old and also senior pictures for my two older sons. Beautiful pictures! Very reasonable rates and cheaper than many other studios. You can check out their work at waterhousephoto.com. It's by appointment only so it's very calm for the little ones. They take tons of pictures with lots of different props. I like the fact that they try to make it more artistic so you don't get those canned "Olen Mills" pictures that everyone has of their kids.

We love Portrait Innovations (Lakeside Circle)! They have an introductory package that costs only $9.95 and they take a ton of pictures in the hope that you will want to purchase more. Plus they have 2 people helping (1 taking pictures and 1 helping get the kids set up). We were really happy with them and plan to go back before the holidays.

Believe it or not, A., we've gotten some really adorable pictures from the Wal-Mart studio!!! You just have to check the fine print if you're coming in on a special (like if it only includes so many poses or whatever). Hope this helps!

I like Kiddie Kandids at BRU.

We love kidddie kandids in babies r us. They are very reasonable priced and have the cutest props and ideas. I, too, had a bad experience at Sears. It's hard to find good pictures for less money

I am a Portrait Innovations lover also! They do a fantastic job and take a ton of photos. Now if you're one of those moms that can stick to the $9.99 special, WOO HOO, awesome! If not, the bill can get steep. But remember... you can go back the next day and the next and the next and keep on getting that $9.99 special :) Not saying that you have all the time in the world, but heck, it's a great price!! I'm taking my daughter this coming week and my son the following week...

I use to go to JC Penney when they had this one girl that worked there Jasmine that was fantastic with the kids, now I've exhausted their props and back drops and they over book and never have enough people working there, hence, we don't go there anymore!!
