9 Month Pictures

I (and most of my friends) use Karen Lippowiths. She is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! She is local and just gets beautiful shots. Her website is karenlippowithsphotography.com. My little bundle is on her blog right now (her 6 day old shots). Highly recommended, fantastic to work with.

Go to "my photographer" in Westland Mall. You get the pictures back next day(at least that's how it was when we last went. They have cute back grounds and props as well.

One of my closest friends swears by My Photographer at Westland Mall. Her daughter (now 2.5) has had ALL her photos taken there and not only are they all really cute, but my friend says they are very reasonably priced AND (this is the most important) they are really good with kids.

I have had my year old miracle daughters pictures taken everywhere! And - after 24 professional photos - I will only now take her back to My Photographer (myphotographer.net) and Kiddie Kandids (the photo place in Babies R Us) And I will NEVER return to Sears! Also the best thing about Kiddie Kandids - is you walk out with your pictures! My Photographer is next day - not bad considering I had wait up to 3 weeks to get them at some places!

I took my daughter to MY PHOTOGRAPHER at westland mall.

I love there pictures, quality, they have props.

I am also thinking of doing her Sr pictures there
this year.

Ck out there website they have sample photos on there.

They also are very reasonable in price.

You view them on the computer before you leave.

Go to Kiddie Kandids at Babies R Us. They are wonderful!!!

There is a place in Westland called "My Photographer". I am not sure of the location, I want to say by the mall. I have not used them, but I know of a few friends who have. I have heard they are a little pricey, that's why we haven't gone there. But if price isn't too big of an issue with you, maybe try there. Good luck!

She works full-time in a studio in Canton, but also is running her own home-based business by herself, and she is fabulous! I have had photos done at the Wal-Mart in Taylor (Escorse Rd & Telegraph RD)(just south of I-94). The ladies who work there are great. I especially like Nicole who is fantasic with taking pictures of young babies. She has taken all of pictures of my family since I got married in 2001. She took pictures of my daughter at just two weeks old and did a fabulous job with her.

I like Sears at Oakland Mall. I know that's a drive for you, but thought I'd throw it in. Ask for Jillian. They never seem to be too busy, so I never feel rushed. And their prices are reasonable. The other thing I like is that the kids don't have to go up on a pedestal or table. This was somthing that made me nervious when my daughter was sitting & crawling but not yet walking.

Go to My Photographer in Westland Mall. I used to have my children's pictures taken there and my daughter had my grandson's first year pictures taken there recently. I thought they did a great job and their prices are equivalent to anyone elses.

Although it looks like a franchise, it's not.
The same man owns all of the studios. That made a difference to me because I felt more care would be taken and that if I weren't happy, eventually there was one person to go to.

I have had great pictures done by Sears (regularly from 3 months to 3 years). They have a selection of packages from $10 to as much as you want to spend. One of my favourite things is their collages, although they have hundreds to choose from I usually get an 8x10 black and white with 3 smaller, color pictures inset. I think the regular price for these is $25 - $30 but I always have a coupon or there is a special offer. If you get their SmileSaver then you can go as many times as you like for 12 months with no sitting fees, which is normally about $15 I think.

I also live in Garden City and LABORED over where to have our son's 6-month pictures ( his first taken professionally).

My husband and I decided to use Portrait Innovations. They're located at 8 Mile and Haggerty in the strip mall just north of Target, right across the street from Meijer.

They were GREAT with Nicholas and the pictures came out fabulously. There's no sitting fee, they have a $9.99 single portrait special, and you can get 3 sheets of anyone pose for $17, as opposed to Sears' $20 per sheet. When you buy a certain number of poses you get a "free gift" (i.e. black and white picture for no extra cost, collage, etc.)

Based on our first experience with them, I would recommend. We plan on returning for his next pictures.

I have taken our daughter to
Kiddie Kandids located in Babies R US (Northville). They do a GREAT job and they print your photos right then and there, so there is no waiting. If you go to their website you kind find coupons by age. You can just walk in for a session or I beleive they take appointments at the top of every hour.
I would take someone with you if you can. When it's time to review the photos and make your selection, it can take 20 mins and trying to do this with a baby that is squirming to get down is a little difficult.

I looked at the sites other recommended and the photography looked awesome, but they were very pricey.

Portrait Innovations hands down. We have been to the Lakeside one 3 times and each time have been thrilled. They have a 9.95 special that is amazing, they take 30-45 shots and you can change outfits. I love them. There is another one in Northville but we have never tried that one.
