Parabens and Phthalates

With all the news on the how baby lotions and soaps contain possibly dangerous chemicals, are there any moms out there that can recommend products without these additives? I have looked online and everything that is labeled all natural seems to be so darn expensive....I have considered trying to make my own soaps, but I'm not sure if that would be any better cost wise.

What can I do next?

I've been in touch with an Arbonne Consultant and am probably going to purchase some of their products. Burts Bees is also good. Trader Joes and Whole Foods ahould have some good choices as well. Another good soap is made by a stay at home mom in Goodells Michigan. www.countrybeesoaps.com They are all natural and great! Good Luck!

I won samples of a product by MD Moms and love it. It is a company created by two doctors who are moms too.

I concur with the previous responder, check out Burt's Bees. If you want safe products, you will have to pay a bit more.

Good Luck.

The one I use for my 2 month old is Arbonne. It's a bit more expensive but I am a consultant and get a 35% discount. They have lotion, wash, diaper cream wash, body oil, and sun screen. Prices range from $14- 82 (set) without the discount. My son has had no reactions to them and the smell is the new baby smell which is great.

I use Burt Bees products. They are toxin free and smell/work great. A little actually goes a really long way. They are expensive-- but can now be found at several grocery stores and Target.

Target also carries California Baby products, which are toxic free-- but I don't like the way they smell.

Whole Foods also carries several toxic free brands. I have never tried them...but hear they are less expensive.
