Suggestions for Organic And/or Gentle Baby Cleansers & Lotions

Hi-
I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions and experiences with product lines that feature chemical free, all natural baby wash and lotions. Now that the warmer weather is here, my daughter will be getting more frequent baths and I want to be sure I am using the most gentle products to help keep her skin healthy and soft.

Thanks!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you ladies that responded to my request. I was very happy to see all the suggestions so quickly! I decided to start with Burt's Bees b/c it is easy to find and I am a already a fan of the Mama's lotion for the pregnant belly. We'll see how this goes; however, I am glad to know that I have back-up products to try next if need be.

I belong to Melaleuca and absolutely love their baby wash, as well as their other products.
Let me know if you are interested and I can set you up.

I have a 1 year old and I use little twig organic products. We sell them at organik in mystic and they are great. They even make an unscented for extra sensitive skin.

Visit the website http://www.cosmeticdatabase.com and click the babycare link. The items that score the lowest, like 1-3 on a 1 to 10 scale, pose the least amount of hazard for your baby's health.

We use Berts Bees stuff. Wash and baby oil. They smell great and are very gentle.

The Good Health Food Store in Hanover on Rt. 53 has lots of organic baby washes. The best I found were Burt's Bee's brand. They have a lotion, bar shampoo, baby wash, and so on. Smells wonderful!

Hi A.,
I use Koala Pals Tear Free body wash. It is from a company called Melaleuca. They also have baby lotions and other kids stuff. They have over 400 everyday products that are all natural. Try the website www.cosmeticdatabase.com. It's through a company called Skin Deep. They are an independent research firm. When I gave birth to my little guy one of my postpartum nurses told me about it. Some of the big Boston hospitals (Brigham and Women's, Saint Elizabeth's) stopped using baby wipes altogether because of the potentially toxic substances in the wipes. they use only washclothes and warm water.Skin deep rates all the baby products (wipes, lotions, cleansers etc) Great website!

Have you tried Arbonne Baby Care Products? They are all an all natural product line developed exclusively for babies & children and adults with senstive skin. There is a hair & body wash, body lotion, body oil, SPF 30+ waterproof sunscreen & an awesome diaper cream which I have often used on rashes on my own body from the garden.

I use these products on my own child and find them extremely gentle & effective, they do not have any added fragrnces, chemicals or animal by-products & are not tested on animals.

I have used Arbonne products for a little less than 5 yrs myself and really think they are the best! Let me know if you'd like help getting some!

Hope this helps!

Hi A.. I agree with you on this point. I have used many products that you can get in the drug store and my kids did not agree with them at all. I have an almost 4 year old and 20 month, both girls. I switched to different products about two years ago that a friend of mine recommended to me, I loved them so much and so dod my kids, that I eventually became a rep or the company. It is called Arbonne ABC Baby Care. The whole line is vegan certified, botanically based and I find to be the most gentle products I have ever used on my kids. The suds from the wash can actually get in their eyes and not bother them. I was so excited because it made bath time so much better. They have hair and body wash, body lotion, body oil, sunscreen (works so well), and diaper rash cream. The other thing is that there are no fragrances or dyes added to them, so I have never had an issue with any irritation. Check it out if you have a chance, you can go to the website www.arbonne.com and if you have any questions I would be more than happy to give you some more info. I hope this was helpful!! I like you want to make sure that what I am putting on my kids is healthy for them! K. Symula
