Does anyone have a calendar or a system that they just love- a great way to organize a family? I am trying to think of the best way to get all our schedules coordinated and better organize our family. I have thought of just doing it up on the computer and posting it on the fridge. Does anyone have any ways that work for them?

What can I do next?

My husband and I each have a computer so we send each other our appointments in Outlook

I have a calender posted on the fridge. Any time the children come home with an activity for school, like Parent teacher conferences or something, I write it down on the calender. Then I just have to look at the calender to know what is going on for that day. I also have a Franklin Covey planner that I have used for years with the calenders. I make sure that everything is written down there too, because this is the one that I take with me to the doctors office's for appointments (because it has all the insurance cards and immunization records in it). Then when I have to make a new appointment I have everything at my fingers and know if the date is good for me or not. When I get home I just make a note of the new appointment on the calendar on the fridge and we are good to go. It took me a while to find the system that works for our family. Good luck and happy organizing.

iCal, MobileMe and iPod Touch. Just switched in July and I'd never go back to Outlook. I do print it out for the little people in the house who don't have an iPod, but the rest of us love having the schedule in hand at any time. GL!

We use a shared family Google Calendar - you can do detailed things and invites via e-mail and also print it out and put it on your fridge each week.

I try to organize all kids activities on the same days. This way I only have two days out of the week that are hectic and busy. I can then ususally remeber that on Monday and Wednesday this is our schedule. We also get more down time at home. We use a calendar on the board and I use a personal calendar for my purse. Getting activities on the same days for all kids can be challenging but we are less busy and have more time together. Good Luck!
