Hi - anyone know of a great gynacologist who is particularly knowledgable about the kinds of hormonal and other issues that affect women going through perimenopause (and eventually menopause)? I love my OB/GYN, but she doesn't seem to have the knowledge base or enough women in my stage of life to be knowledgable about these issues. There is a mid-life clinic at Truman Medical Center, but I live in south OP, and that is so darn far to drive...

I highly recomend my OB/GYN Dr. Cappelli or his partner Dr Caruso. They have offices at the medical building at St. Joesephs Hospital off State Line and 435. I know they deal with all stages of women. Dr. Cappelli has been working with me for the last 2 years to get my cycles straightened out. I thought I was going through early menopause, but he recomended a different birth control pill and it fixed a lot of problems I was having. If you don't mind going to a male doctor these two are the best.

I have been going to Dr. King for about 3 years now. I just love the way that she handles her patients. She is caring and will take the time to listen to you. She performed my complete hysterectomy in 2 seperate surguries. Dr. King is just an awesome Dr!
