ObGyn In McKinney (Maybe Plano/Frisco/Allen)

We live in McKinney too, we just had our first child 6/27. My ObGyn was awesome, and their office is awesome, everyone is great. Her name is Melissa Bailey, the office name is Centinnial ObGyn. Dr. Rajala at Presby of Allen is absolutely wonderful. He has the best bedside manner and he is also superior clinically. I'm also a nurse of 20 years. I won't go to anyone else. Liz

Dr. Shea Joyner is awesome! She delivered my son and we had the best experience with her. She is in practice with Andy & Tricia Shimer and Sarah Roberts as well. The Shimer's are also great. I feel so blessed to have had Dr. Joyner deliver my son and would recommend her to anyone. Their office is in McKinney at Alma & 121. My recommendation is Dr. J. Allen of the North Central Women's Health Partners...they're right across the street from the Med Ctr of McKinney and they have 3 Dr's and a nurse practitioner right now - all women - and they're wonderful. They have different hours to accommodate today's busy schedules and they really care about their patients. Dr. Allen delivered my daughter in April and she bent over backwards to abide by my birthing plan while still keeping my daughter and I safe throughout the process. My OBGYN is Dr. Lee and she is amazing. I LOVE LOVE her! She will sit and talk to you about your problems without making you feel rushed. She truely made my birth experienc an easy one! I totally agree with the advice of going with Shimer and Shimer. The Shimer's used to live next store to my mom, and Tricia delivered my last baby via c-section. They are GREAT, use the latest technology, and are very nice. Everyone is the office is great. She delivered my baby at Centennial in Frisco. I know she delivers at Allen Presby and McKinney Medical as well. Their new office is on 121 in Craig Ranch.

I use the doctors of the McKinney OBGYN. It is in the Craig Ranch area. Dr. Shymer and Shymer
They are a husband and wife team that have added on more doctors as their practice has expanded. I like Dr. Shea Joiner the best. She delivered my daughter March of 04. She is very sweet and gentle and is a great doctor.
She even saw me in the halls of the hosp when I was taking my daughter in for one of her check ups. She stopped and said "Hi M." and gave me a hug. It just made me feel so special that she remebered me and knew how old my daughter was.

I have had several friends babies delivered by Dr. Wise in Allen off Allen Drive. He delivers babies at Allen Presby which has great birthing rooms and care. I know him as well because I used to work in his building and know his staff and nurses are great. I would not recommend Mckinney Medical Center to deliver your baby because I have not heard great things about that hospital, but Allen Presby is just right down the rode. I don't have his phone number but you can look it up or call Allen Family Drug in that same building at ###-###-#### and they can give you his phone number. Hope this helps.

i delivered both of my kids at Medical Center of Plano by c-sections and had a wonderful experience both times. Dr. Vanessa Woolridge is wonderful as are the doctors in her group.

Another vote for Shea Joyner who is with Shimmer and Shimmer group here in McKinney. Actually, I like all of the doctors in the group, you rotate through them so you get to know them all throughout your pregnancy. That group is awesome, they treat you with respect,like you are a part of their family but most importantly they listen to what you want to happen during your labor/and throughout your pregnancy. I had a very difficult pregnancy and ended up getting induced early. They did not force me to have a c-section they let me decide and I did try to not have a C-Section but she wasn't budging, 3 hours later, C-section was underway but Dr. Joyner went above and beyond and never forced the c-section, if fact she continued to encourage me to finish like we had started. There new office is wonderful. I was just there, and took my toddler with me, there are TV's in the room and she was in wonderland watching her shows and it helped take her mind off of me getting an exam. Good luck in your search for a doctor, it's difficult to decide but it looks like you have a lot of good advice that has been given. If anything, interview the doctors, see how comfortable you are with them, that sort of thing. Keep us posted as to who you choose and good luck with the search and pregnancy.
