A.C. asks from Franklin, OH

Good Morning Ladies! I have received so much helpful info through the years that I need to ask for your help again. I have just found out that we are expecting another baby. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a female obgyn. I had fantastic Obgyn in Columbus that I absolutely loved. However, now that we have moved to Franklin, I need to find a new Obgyn in this area. I would like to have one that is kind, understanding, and actually listens to you. Also, someone that isn't in a hurry to get through the appointment to get to the next one. (Unfortunately we had a family doctor here that never listened and always just tried to rush you out of there.) If anyone has had a great experience with their Obgyn please let me know. I thank you all so much and hope everyone is having a great day!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I ended up seeing a Dr. Reddy that is out of the OBGYN Souh in Kettering and they also have a office in Springboro. She is extremely nice, unfortunately, this pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, but I will definately go back and see here for the next pregnancy (god willing)

Have you thought about midwives.. Trihealth Nurse Midwives are a great team of midwives. A very caring and knowledgeable group of midwives. Dr Feghali works with them if a c sect or v back is necessary and he is very good.
There is something you get from midwives that you dont get from a obgyn. Their kindness and understanding of you all during your pregnancy and delivery. I highly reccomend them.

I have to comment on Associates in OBGYN. I cannot recommend them as the previous poster did. I was using them until I was 32 weeks pregnant, when it became apparent I would not have the birth I wanted with them. True, I wanted a natural birth, but I was told I would have to go to Bethesda North because my doctor was on the board there. I had no problem with that, but I was never even given a choice. When he made a crack about my hormones to my husband and I heard the office staff being incredibly rude to a patient in the waiting room, that was it. I did like Dr. Langenderfer there, but she was on maternity leave when I needed her, and they rotate you through all the doctors there anyway so you'll "know" who's delivering your baby (although if you've only met them once, and it could have been months ago, do you really know them?).

I left there and went to see Dr. Horlacher and Dr. Wood at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. So worth the drive! They are excellent, caring, compassionate doctors. Their patients all rave about them. They are men, but they also have a woman who works in the office too. I am not sure what her official title is, but I liked her too. And with only 3 of them, you will know who delivers your baby.

Just my two cents!

My sister just had a baby yesterday and I was so incredibly impressed with her OB, Dr. Horlacher. He really was part of the delivery (not just the catcher as some OB's are) and almost made it "fun" - great sense of humor. Throughout her entire pregnancy she kept telling me about her appts and how great he was at taking time to answer questions, treating her like a person - not a schedule. His office is at MVH. He has a partner, Dr. Wood, who my sister says is wonderful, too. Hope this helps and Good luck!

I really like who I go to. They have a few different female ob's there and I have seen almost all of them. They are called Associates in OB-GYN. I go to the Montgomery location but they have other locations as well. They also have a website www.associnobgyn.com. Check them out! Good luck and congrats!!
