I am 12 weeks pregant with my second baby and we are moving from the city to Park Ridge. Thus, we have decided to switch from Northwestern to Lutheran General. I am having a hard time finding a doctor group and am looking for any suggestions. I don't mind a large doctor group as long as there are quality doctors in the practice. Also, I work full-time so not having to wait a long time for appointments is important. I am open to a female or male doctor. Any insight that you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I actually had a horrible experience with Women's Health Specialists, I have delivered all three of my children Lutheran General and after my first not good experience I switched to Dr. Alice Chen out of Old Orchard OB. I go to Women's Health Specialists, they are fantastic, they delivered both of my children. There are I think 5 doctors in the group. I highly recommend them. There phone number is ###-###-####.

I work in Northbrook and she was great to get me in on my lunch hour or before/after work.
She was a great doctor - my health plan changed and now she is out of network for me.

Dr. Helene Merkin is wonderful. She has either 1 or 2 partners (it used to be one, but I believe she's added a third.) The main partner is male. Dr. Merkin is wonderful, and delivered both of my children. Her office is in Parkside, connected to LGH.
