Has anyone tried Nutrasystem? I'm curious to hear about other people experiences with it.

What can I do next?

I went on it after having 2 kids close together. The food is not the best tasting, but tolerable. I did lose weight, but the thing I liked about it was that it taught me what portion sizes are (way out of wack after eating for 2 for 3 years between pregnancies and nursing). I also like the ease and convenience of it. It was easy to follow and the meals are very quick to make.

Hello,
I have two girls that were two years apart! Whoa, it sure gets crazy! Hope you are adjusting well!

I have never tried Nutrasystem. But if you are looking for online support, recipe ideas, weightloss menus check out www.freshliving.myarbonne.com and www.gofigure8.com

They have AMAZING products, from the first ever energy drink that supports weightloss to YUMMY protein shakes. The chocolate smells like fudge brownies, and the vanilla smells like cake batter!! They are considered very SAFE weightloss products!!!

If you would like any samples, I would be happy to give you some!

Good luck!!

Hi N.-
I have a lot of clients who used it-- a couple successfully but most not unless they stayed with it for life. They didn't change their personal habits so when they ended it, the gained back. It is expensive but certainly a no- thinker plan as you buy food already made. That's where the habit forming eating for life part was missed.
The couple that were successful, learned using people like me to change their habits and look for nutritional assistance.

About me: 48 yo perfusionist, wellness coach and mom to 7 yo twin girls.

I have not had clients on Nutrisystem. However, I try to steer clients toward weight management plans that teach you how to eat more than providing food for you. That way, when you transition off the plan, you have tools to last a lifetime.
You also don't want to just "diet". You will lose weight initially but also muscle. Muscle drives your metabolism. In the long run, when you lose muscle your metabolism decreases, and you do the diet yo yo.

I recommend Weight Watchers and Cinch plans (by Shaklee, retain all your muscle).

Best wishes, feel free to contact me.

I personally haven't used Nutrasystem, but my x-mil did. She did it for six months and lost 40+ lbs using their food. Once she got to her ideal wt, she was able to go back to her regular food, and she gained it all back. Maybe she wasn't following the program exactly after the wt loss though. My oldest son said she is bigger now than ever. So I guess she never really did learn to eat right from it.
