I am compiling a list of southern california preschool and child care providers who use an approach that is in line with non-violent communication, also called compassionate comunication; positive parenting, Bev Bos, Alfie Kohn, or simply a humanistic approach.

Please send me the names of places you know and would recommend.
Thanks!

Linda

I know my response is VERY late, but I'm catching up on emails I had languishing in my inbox & thought I'd go ahead & add a couple for your list in the hope that you are adding ongoingly.

Have you already heard of The Center for Non-Violent Communication in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles? I believe they have a pre-school. I know they offer parenting courses as well. The woman who is director there, Ruth Beaglehole, is wonderful. She came to speak at my daughter's preschool, which also should be on your list, La Playa in Culver City.

Great idea to do this & I wish you all the best with it!
