So What Happened?

Wow, I haven't been back to this site much since I posted this. I stumbled upon it today and thought I would let everyone know what I am up to.

I have settled into SE Milwaukee just south of Multnomah county border. Still working on building community and friendships. I am facilitating dance now for groups and individuals as well as putting on retreats and workshops for womyn and mothers. I do massage and am still providing products for embodied wellness. I also am supporting other moms build their own business and create residual income for themselves. Supporting community and having strong friendships is really important to me. As I have been here for about a year steady now and am just starting to work again, I feel that building friendships is my next step. I did start a meetup group for Fun Hip Wacky Moms of Portlandia so I can start planning get togethers and meet other moms with similar interests. If anyone is interested in checking it out, it is here... http://www.meetup.com/Hybrid-Moms/

My recommendation for a ND (also a midwife) is Katherine Zeiman. Google her. She works in Gresham. She delivered my son and she's really a neat lady and knows her stuff pretty well, too.

Be sure to check out the People's Food Coop (google it for location). It's got pretty decent prices on organic foods, and you can get a membership that will get you discounts on a bunch of things that it sounds like you would be interested in. There is a Whole Foods, too, but the coop is better, I think. Smaller, but better. They even sell raw goat's milk!

Sorry I can't help you with the rest, but I'm sure you'll get lots of recommendations. And welcome to Portland.
