My duaghter is wanting to try gymnastics and/or dance. She's been invovled in soccer but says she's ready to try something different...which I want her to do. No sense in spending the money if it's a fight to get her there right. :) And I want to her to be well rounded so that she had an idea of everything and then maybe pick something she really enjoys and sticks with it ya know. I was also thinking about putting my 2 1/2 yr old in something as well and they are always running aorund, flipping, tunbling. anyways...any suggestions would be great. Something around the BS area and reasonbly priced (especailly if we are going to pay for two children.) Thanks

What can I do next?

I highly recommend Gage in Blue Springs. My son does gymnastics and swimming and LOVES it. They are sooooo good with the kids. They will let you do a free trial class for any of their classes so you can try it and see what you think. I will add that from experience, they get more involved with the class as they get more used to the teacher and the class itself so you have ot take that into consideration when you go through the trial class. Good luck!!!!

If you are looking for something more reasonably priced, we go to Best Gymnastics. It is technically in Grain Valley. It is located on the north side of I-70, between Adam's Dairy and the Grain Valley exit. We have really enjoyed our time there and they are cheaper than anything else in the area. You can look them up on the internet or just call them.

My daughter has been dancing at Wynn Twins in Raytown. I know she has friends from not only Raytown, Lee's Summit, Indep and Blue Springs. They just had a fantastic recital at the Music Hall. This recital seems more like a broadway show. I know it's in Raytown, but very much worth looking into.
At times there can be a waiting list.
Good Luck,

Gage Center is in Blue Springs at I-70 and Woods Chapel. I've talked to several mom's and have heard they have a great program, which I suppose would be evident by the number of olympians they've put out in the last 2 olympics (2 in 2004 & 1 looking to qualify for 2009). They have a parent/tot program for children from walking to 3 so your 2-1/2 year old could be involved as well. Go to www.gagecenter.com and they have tons of information on each program and pricing. I've also heard that Xtreme in Lee's Summit is also but your youngest would have to be 3 years before they start. Their website is http://www.xgtkids.com/.
