The preschool at Trinity Luthern church is awesome. My son went there. His teacher was absolutely wonderful. My son has special needs and they were very willing to work with him.

My daughter has gone to the First Baptist church on 15th and Main since she was three. She was a Littlest Angel and now she's a Bigger Angel since she's 4. She goes 3 days a week and you can chose morning or afternoon session. They are awesome and so loving to your children. I plan on my others going there as well if we are still living near here. I would recommend this place to anyone. The best part is that it is Christian based which is important to me however some might think that they would "shove" Jesus down one's throat but that is not the case at all. It's a wonderful place...give them a and they would meet with and show you around. Good Luck.

I'm not sure about Blue Springs, but if you're interested in a Church run perschool try Little Learners they are based in First Baptist Church Raytown (that big one on 350) I used to teach there and their pre-K program is fantastic! They have classes on either Tuesday and Thursday, or Wednesday and Friday, they also have a theree day class that is Tuesday through Thursday (this one fills up fast!) Good luck!

I send my daughter to Montessori Childrens House of Blue Springs. Her father and I couldn't be happier with the school. This would be a fantastic opportunity for your family!

Please, please, PLEASE stay away from Casa de los Ninos Montessori School. While every school has their problems, I saw children being treated roughly during the six weeks I worked there. After seeing this two or three times, I packed my children up and walked off the job. I simply don't do that, otherwise.

I would advise looking at other Montessoris in the area, such as Blue Springs Children's House on 40 Highway. While there have been a couple of disgruntled employees, the parents and children seem to always be happy. Lakewood Montessori, right off of 291 in Lee's Summit is a larger school. Again, some disgruntled employees, but generally happy parents and children.

I, personally, plan on enrolling my son at Blue Springs Children's House in the summer or fall.

Hi K.,

If you wanted to venture to Independence on 40 highway, I would recommend checking out Nativity of Mary. It is a private school, but WOW, what structure they have. Max amount of children in one class is 12, so there is a great teacher/child ratio. They start at 2 years old and go right through to 8th grade. I would recommend this school to anyone. Reasonable rates too!
