Need to Know a Reputable Salon and Dentist.

I have been seeing Dr. Sharp (and now Dr. Mitchell has been added to the staff) on Burdick (close to downtown... not far from Portage and the Westnedge mess) for over 15 years. I don't have a problem suggesting their office.

I get my hair done in Texas Corners at New Reflections salon by Allison Flowers, she is wonderful she also does my son's hair. Dentist wise I go to Dr. Brown in Parchment but I take my son to Dr.Chicoine, one of the hygenist is a personal friend and makes it so much fun for my son to get his teeth cleaned.

For a dentist, you can try Dr. Allen, the number is ###-###-####, or ###-###-####. I had bad dental work done at another dental office, and he fixed it, he does a very nice job. But be sure to check with you insurance as to how many x-rays they pay for a year, because they take a lot of them there. My ins. pays for 4 per year, so I just tell him to take the 4 he needs most and thats it.

For your hair, you can come see me if you like, I work at JC Penney Salon, over at Crossroads Mall, I have been doing hair for 8 years, and I am the only person there that lists childrens cuts as one of my specialties. I'm not sure about your hair type, but the only thing I dont do is relaxers ( I can recommend you to someone though) The one catch is I only work weekends, so if you need to come during the week just ask for Andrea, she does a great job also. I too moved here about two years ago and had no dentist or hair stylist. I worked as a dental assistant so I was very particular about who I chose for my dental needs. My husband and I currently go to Dr. Maura Fichter and Carrie McDougal. They're great and thier facility is clean and staff is friendly. As for a hair sylist, I have found the perfect person. Her name is Lisa Yoakam at Allure hair salon, located off whites road. She was refereed to me from a friend a year ago. She does great coloring and cuts. As for my son we take him to sports clips, located in the target plaza off of west main. when my husband gets his hair done,we send him with our son. We always have him go to Denisa. She always does a great job, considering she's dealing with a two year old who won't sit still. Hope this has helped you some. M., there is a great hair salon, called Allure Salon Professionals in Kalamazoo (Whites Rd/Parview). They have great hair stylists, nail techs along w/pedicure, massage therapy, facials. Just tell the type of hair you have and they will get you to the right person for you.
