Need a Good Hair Color Salon

Are any of you ladies happy with your hair color, do you have a salon or person you would recommend? I am a brunette, when I have my turning gray hair colored I end up with a lot of red highlights. I really naturally don't have this red thing going on.
Can't I get a more natural brown color.

What can I do next?

You have to call Arlene at Being Salon...she is the owner, is a brunette with beautiful color; this woman knows how to color hair! The number is ###-###-####. The salon is at Van Dyke and 23-24 mile roads. I've gone to her for years as does my mom; she has never let us down!

I go to Violet's Salon on Baldwin across from Great Lakes Crossing. It's in a strip mall with Quiznos Subs.
I have been going to Rachel for about 3 years and she always does a great job on my coloring and cuts.
I also have brunette hair.

Hi D.,
This may be a little far for you but totally worth the trip. I go to Chuck at the Macy's salon in Oakland Mall. He does the most amazing color, I always have people asking me where I get my hair colored. He is such a nice person and very easy to talk to-no awkward silences with him! I have been going to him for years and would never go anywhere else!
Good luck!

Hi D.,
I'm not sure where you are located, but you have to go to Prime Salon in Troy (across from the Motor Mall in the Walmart shopping center) and ask for Marina. Her specialty is color of any kind! She is a true artist! You will be thrilled with her work! I have been going to her for years & refer everyone to her, and they all LOVE her! She sees alot of high profile locals also! Her number is ###-###-####. Good luck in your search!

I don't know where you live, but my neice works at Salon Bellisimo in Riverview on Pennsylvania. Sarah is an excellent colorist. I have the same problem as you-I'm a graying brunette. If you try to lighten your hair yourself, the gray will turn red or orange. I have to buy 'ash' toned colors, not 'golden', which turns our hair red. When Sarah does my hair, it actually lasts way longer than the boxed stuff I use and looks 100 percent better, so the extra money it costs at the salon is well worth it. Good luck, and thanks for the reminder that I need an appointment! Dawn.

I too have brown hair turning gray and have red highlights that I prefer not to see. I go to SAndy at Bellissima II In West Bloomfield, MI ###-###-####. I get a ton of compliments on my hair and would not trust anyone else to do it. Tell her K. sent you and you don't want any red in your hair either:o) She listens to what her customers too!

I don't know where you live... but, I LOVE Fringe (the Aveda Salon) in Royal Oak on Washington and Fifth. I go to Tarah. Aveda is nice b/c it is all natural. Tarah is sweet and takes the time to listen to what you want. http://www.fringeroyaloak.com/
Plus, they have a promo right now... $20 off your first color. And, did I mention... they are tip free. So, it may seem a little more costly, but not when you add in the tip you would need to leave at other salons!!
Good luck!

15 & Haggerty in West Bloomfield, salon Matisse. Katie or Stephanie, both are excellent. It sounds like you need to use a cool color brown. The red comes from warm tones. Try with a non -permanent dye, like Natural Instincts, to see which one works best, and don't go lighter unless you want your grays to look like highlights.
I would like additional information about you being a Home Organizer, could you email me? Thanks

I see you're located in Lake Orion. I don't know how much you want to travel, but my girlfriend just opened her own place in Walled Lake called Salon Tease. Her name is Rian. She is fabulous. I would recommend her to anyone. She's great with color. The number there is ###-###-####.
