I haven't seen that play, but I took my 2 year old to see Hello Dolly thinking she would get bored and fall asleep. I was mistaken, she sat straight up, eyes glued to the stage the whole time. She has been fascinated with the stage ever since and loves to be on stage and perform.

I think 2 1/2 would be a bit young for any play, Also, if you think about the Grinch, there's pretty advanced concepts. a child your daughter's age barely understands what the heck Christmas is. I think you might find some better, more toddler oriented activities. Going to see lights, the festival of lights at the Wild animal park, very Christmasy. Have fun!

This is the first response I've ever given, so you know I feel strongly on this subject. My daugher was 2 1/2 when she saw the Grinch and loved it. Never wiggled to get up, run to the potty... nothing! In fact, she's enjoyed everything similarly. I'd do it. It's my favority play by far... have a wonderful time. Wish we could go too.

We wanted to take our 2 1/2 year old last year, but we were told that they have to be at least 3 years old to see the play.

I was thinking about taking my son, almost 3 too...my guess is it's still a little too early. I once took my first grade class and they were a bit scared at times. I'll be curious to see what other moms say. love your phrase, "thatmuch needed glass of wine", haha sooo true!haaha
