Just for fun...What Is Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

It's a Wonderful Life, definitely! But Christmas Vacation and Christmas Story are up there too! :) How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Polar Express are great. I like the classics like Holiday Inn, too. Wait...I think I love them all! :)

Right now I'm loving Polar Express...I think because I fear my oldest (7.5) is not going to believe for many more years and it gives hope to those who seem to get too old to believe. I still believe in Santa, even though I know I buy all of the gifts!! lol...but I know Christmas mornings will be different when there is no Santa anymore. Luckily my youngest is 3, so hopefully he will still believe for a lot longer!!

It would be too hard to pick just one! I've amassed rather a collection of Christmas movies over the years, and I start pulling them out about now.

There's "White Christmas" of course (I remember seeing it when it FIRST came out - I'm revealing my age here - in the middle of the summer)! "Going My Way," "Christmas in Connecticut" (the original with Barbara Stanwyck) and "Miracle on 34th Street" (the original with Edmund Gwenn) all debuted before I was born and I met them first on Turner Classic Movies.

I have several versions of "A Christmas Carol" because it's told differently with each retelling; my favorites at the moment are the 1984 one with George C. Scott and the Muppet version. We have "The Polar Express" and the old "The Snowman" - if you haven't seen that, look around for it because the art is wonderful.

And I have favorite Christmas dvds hardly anybody else has even heard of, like "A Child's Christmas in Wales" (1987, first shown on PBS, I think) and "The Christmas Wife" (1988, Jason Robards and Julie Harris).

I have to say Christmas With the Kranks (Cranks?) with Jamie Lee Curtis. It's so silly but alot of fun. For a more traditional movie, definitely It's a Wonderful Life - we watch it every year. And also the Grinch Who Stole Christmas (not the one w/ Jim Carey, the original!).

White Christmas ! Miracle on 34th St (original)! Muppet's Christmas Carol ! Charlie Brown ! Grinch (cartoon) ! Christmas Vacation! A Christmas Story ! ( I am the Only 1 in my family who enjoys that movie - so I have to sneak watch it when no ones around- that way i dont have to listen to them complain how Stupid it is! LOL ) I think its hysterical! now I'm Really looking forward to the Holidays :-) Theres a local radio station here that is Already playing Christmas music !! We were driving around yesterday singing X-mas songs while my son was in the back looking at us like we were Nuts! LOL Tis the Season !!!!!! Fantastic ?

The grinch who stole christmas and Elf

Every year, I look forward to watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. I loved watching that as a family when I was younger, and I have since turned it into a tradition with my 3 kids (7, 3, 5mos).

I loved "Yes, Virginia There is a Santa Clause". I think that was the name, which was based on the famous newspaper article. I wish I could find it on video or dvd. I'd love to watch it with my girls.

Also love the classic "It's a Wonderful Life".

For cartoon type movies, "Frosty".

More recent movies "The Santa Clause" and "Christmas With the Kranks".

This is such a good question, makes me so happy. I love the Polar Express, we watch it Christmas Eve every year since it came out.
