Need a Theme for Bunko Night

I am in a bunko group and we have themes for every time we get together. We exchange gifts with a "secret sister" based on the theme for the night. Recent themes include: getting organized, colors, things to take on a picnic, something to light up your life (candles, lamps, etc.) Our spending limit is around $10. I am hosting next month and I am desperate for an idea!

May be too late in the season, but for a gals party one time we had a Trip into the Garden. We gave each other garden whimsicals and/or bedding plants.

Y'all have fun!

Well - Fall is on the horizon. So why not something related to the Season Change? Just a thought...

Our bunco group has always done a themed party but we don't do gifts. We each put $5 in the bowl and split the money between the wins, losses, and buncos. I forget the percentages of how we split it but if you like I could get that for you.

On the anniversary month of our start, we double the money.

During the holidays, we have a dirty santa theme with a small gift. We go in pj's and have breakfast foods.

Halloween is fun with jello shots and halloween attire.

February we do love month and spill a secret "how to" that we do.

August was back to school and we brought old school pictures to share and laugh.

Other than those specifically, we've done Hawaiian theme, Irish night, martini night, wine night, shot night and a few others.

Have a great time.

Could you do a clean out your closet for a charity type theme...old coats, blankets, canned foods, etc. And whoever brings the most gets a special gift or something. Just a thought.

How about kitchen gadgets, something that sparkles, favorite everyday things--favorite lip gloss, favorite coffee, etc. or things you like, but would never buy yourself. Our pokeno group also did a "re-gift" night which was soooo funny, but no one was thrilled with what they took home (I think the dusty shot glass chess set took the cake).

How about a "couch potato" night...everyone comes dressed in their comfiest clothes and the gifts are geared around things to help you relax! Or what about a chocolate lovers night--all the gifts have to relate to chocolate.

Or what about a chef or cooking night--all guests bring their favorite recipe to share with everyone and maybe each bring an ingredient for that recipe as the "gift".

Pamper yourself (bubble bath, shower gel, pedicure products, etc)

Movie night (Dvd's, popcorn, candy, sodas, blockbuster cards)

Recipe swap (bring your favorite recipe with the non-perishable food items for the recipe) You could also have everyone bring their dish prepared to share for the evening!

Family Fun (games, cards, cd's, anything for a family to do together)

Grow a Garden (seeds, plants, garden tools, gloves, etc)

HAVE FUN!

How about a pajama party. Have everyone come in their pajamas and serve food and drinks that are breakfast related. We did that once for bunco and it was fun!! A.

This one is probably not as "party" themed as the others (which all sound great!), but it is one that people so often overlook. How about "How to turn your dreams into realities"? You guys can focus on goals, accountability, and the gifts could be journals, pens, inexpensive books on the subject (The Power of Your Subconscious Mind).
I know, this just sounds so boring... maybe it is my deep desire to get together with a group of ladies and share our goals, and how we plan on getting there! :)
I also think that people are afraid to admit they have these types of ambitions because they honestly believe they will fail at them. (This is for another post. Sorry!)
I have never played bunko, and it sounds like it could be a blast! Have fun!

I would have a fall or Halloween theme. Mini bails of hay. Scare crows, one of my friends made some sort of cookie that looked like mice. Licorise for tails and little black ears.
G. W I miss and love Bunco.

You have Halloween month which is always fun!

What about "bling" night. You could go crazy at Sam Moon since it's so cheap.

Since it's close to fall, do a theme that has to do with fall. Fuzzy socks, stuff to lounge around the house, fall leaves. Off the fall idea- you could do "something to pamper your feet".

We've done a breakfast night before and we all wore our pj's. The gifts could include pjs, houseshoes, bath stuff...! Sounds like fun whatever you decide. I really miss playing Buncos with my friends before I moved here! Oh, what about a gift card night? Sounds kind of cheesy but it's always nice to stop at Sonic for a drink, Starbucks for coffee, ice cream somewhere for FREE! Let me know what you decide I love hearing ideas like these!

You could do a Trick-or-Treat theme since it will be October, to help you all get ready for Halloween.
