Ideas for a Girls Night In

Hello,
Well I usually have get togethers with my girlfirends atleast once a month and we do alot of different fun things. I would definatly get some margarita or daquiri mix to spice things up. Music is always a must as well. I know it sounds really cheesy but we have great time playing sherades or monopoly. You can also always get those naughty party hosts to come in and introduce bedroom toys and lingerie. Sounds a bit out there but I have heard about that from some friends. Good Luck and have fun.

I know as moms, new or seasoned we need some time to just have fun! We often neglect ourselves while we are busy taking care of our families. It's fun to get your girlfriends together and remember that you were a WOMAN before you had children. Sit around and fix each others hair, do each others makeup, give yourself a facial. When was the last time you did that without being interupted? haha You can have Spa Nite, Margarita's and Makeup any theme you want. You decide, it's your party! Once a month, a bunch of ladies in my neighborhood get together to play BUNCO! At first I thought it was a game for "old ladies", but we have soooo much fun with it! You can get a Bunco game kit at Wal-Mart, or get everything you need online, from directions to free printables, just google it! Everyone brings $5 and a small gift (we usually do themes, like spa, candles, gift cards, even wrapping paper at Christmas time).
Someone will win all the gifts and others will win some cash, but it's really not about the winning (we've sometimes called the game early just because we're having so much fun eating, drinking and talking).
You can either have the one who's hosting the party provide appetizers or do a pot luck where everyone brings some small munchies. Sometimes the hostess will do the main dish, say fajitas, and everyone else will bring the sides.
It really is a great time and sometimes the hubbies even get together at another house with all the kids and play cards! Everyone wins!

SPA!!! Manicures, pedicures and massages. Maybe see a movie first.

Okay for me and my friends who range from wifes, mothers and the single gals. We like to get together with no kids or husbands at one of our houses and have drinks and a Pure Romance party. Weither or not this is something that is really up your alley. It is fun, A guarenteed laugh fest! The ladies on my block try to get together at each other's houses one night during the month. The host always serves dinner and wine to those that are partaking that night and then we also do a fun game and just cut up laughing and catching up with each other. One thing we did when it was my night to host was everyone brought their photo albums from high school, college and weddings. We had tons of fun laughing at the big 80's hairdos and hysterical clothes. It's a fun cheap way to have lots of laughs and share old funny stories with each other. Women love looking at pictures!

ha! it's funny that you posted this, cause I just got home from one that lasted two days!! (we got iced in...)
this was our list of fun though...

everybody brought thier fav drink mixer... like roses, or lemon drop (the hostess had the vodka)
we each brought our favorite food/dessert
and our favorite movie and drew to see which one to watch... though we talked through it anyway!
we came in our pjs and at one point we even went to target! in them!!! lol!
played taboo (fun, fun game!)
to get to know each other, we played a silly questionaire truth or dare type game, a more grown up version of course, though it felt like a high school slumber party!!

You could always go to Dick's Last Resort. It is a very fun resturant. They even have Karoke. It is at the West End at Downtown Dallas.

You've got alot of good ideas already. Including a Spa Night. BeautiControl started the in-home spa experience and doesn't charge for their Spas, all the product used at the spa is free. The thought is if you like the product, you'll buy.

But not sure if a spa is the right thing for you yet. You want to get to know each other, right? My gal pals and I play a game called 2 lies and 1 truth. You have to be careful with this game.... some people will REALLY disclose, and others will say something silly that doesn't matter. But it's fun to see what people think or don't think about you when they're guessing what you did or didn't do!

Also, I have a friend who does massages, and she has a chair and can travel.

Game night is always fun. Everyone bring a board game.
I get together with friends to knit quite often but that only works if everyone has some kind of craft they do (I know scrapbookers do this too!)

A movie is okay but then you don't get to talk and thats kinda boring when the idea is to get some adult coversation going!

There is a fun game called 2 truths and a lie. You just go around the table and one person starts by telling two truths and one lie. Everyone has to guess which one is a lie. You learn a lot about each other and it is good for a laugh. Cheap entertainment!

I will be glad to give you some ideas, My Best friend and I have our own Business, Stylish Soiree Event Planning and catering, so I have a lot of expertise in this area (lol). First think up a theme(such as pampering night, Love Movie Night, Luau and etc...get things that are associated to the theme favors, and etc...you can make up some gift bags for thank you gifts, and also get some other fun items to give as prizes for games you all might play...Play a few games and don't make it a point to talk about the children or husbands or work that night....If you need any other help let me know.

I would say make it a potluck so you don't have to worry about feeding everyone (most ladies know how stressful and expensive cooking for a large number of people can be). Just have everyone bring an appetizer like dish so you have munchies to pick on in between chatting. A cheap way to do the wine tasting would also be to have everyoneone bring their favorite bottle of wine or one that starts with the first letter of their name. A great thing to keep things organized would be to use the evite website. It is free (no postage for invites) and people can update their RSVP easily. You can also have them sign up for what they are bringing in their RSVP so you avoid too many chips and salsas! Hope you a have a great night.

Hi Nicole - I heard that there are plans for a National Mom's out night. I think it is going to be on March 28, and Bahama Breeze is hosting the evening. Any profits go to the Boys & Girls Club.
