Hi Mamas...I'm looking for a family safe website that I can use to share pictures of my lovely son with other family members, but not everyone else on the Internet. If possible, it would be fun to be able to write updates, share email, etc. Does anyone have one they are using that they feel is safe and secure? I'd appreciate all recommendations. Happy New Year!

Blogspot.com is great. You can set it to private, where you have to invite people to view it. It's easy and it's free.

I like facebook to stay or keep in touch with friends, for the purpose you are wanting, I personally don't recommend it. Just my opinion here. You should check it out for yourself and see.

I signed on to facebook.com about a month ago and am loving it. The only way that others can look at my facebook page is if they send me an invitation to be their friend or relative, and I accept their invitation. I can download photos and videos onto it, type up updates, send individual friends or relatives messages (e-mails), and also comment on their photos and postings as wells. It's a great way for everyone to keep up with each other and to have that sense of day-to-day connection even though you may be miles away. I'm still fairly new to it but I haven't experienced any downside to having a facebook membership yet.

I use Facebook for close friends and family who live abroad and want to sneak peeks of my son. I also, share albums with immediate family on Kodak Gallery...I keep track of ALL my photos on Photobucket.

Have fun!

I like photobucket.com. You can make your photos public or private . If your family members have Tivo they can view your pictures right on their tv as well anywhere in the country with your username and a special password for friends and family to view your pics.
