Try 'Hair One' from Sally Beauty Supply.

It's the rip-off version of Wen Hair. It's about $12.00--MUCH cheaper!

I have naturally curly hair so I know what dry and frizzy is.

First of all, Wen is just a waste of money. The only thing it did for my hair was make it oily by 3:00 pm.

I have tried TONS of products and have typically found that I had to alternate shampoo and conditoners every 2 to 3 days or else my curls fell flat. Until I tried "Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo + Conditioner". I never would have thought that this shampoo would have worked, but it has done wonders for my hair (no more switching products two times a week). I can't help with added products as I only use an anti frizz cream (made by suave in an orange bottle). I don't even own a blow dryer or curling iron.

My husband's co-worker got a perm and couldn't deal with the frizz. She asked what I used and she was skeptical but decided to give it a try. I asked her a month later what worked (her hair looked very nice) and she said $3 bottle of Head and Shoulders Shampoo + Conditioner - who would have thought.

Good luck! I dont think there is a single fix all product out there that works for everyone so unfortunately you have to find a lot of wrong ones before you find the right one-- kind of like men!!

I love any and all Aveda products. I use shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner and hairspray. Good luck!

My mother swears Wen has made her hair softer, but honestly, it doesn't really look any better.

I use Frederic Fekkai. I've been using it for 2 years and absolutely love it. I have thin hair, but lots of it. It's long and prone to be greasy on no-wash days. I can literally wash every day with no problem.

Here's a link to a "starter kit" of what I use, in case you wanted to try it out. The key to the glossing cream (which you use on damp hair prior to blow dry) is to ONLY use a very small amount. I use a pea-size amount and my hair is halfway down my back.

Another vote for Aveda's products. My hair used to be dry and frizzy and their products have made it look soft and shiny.

I think you may be doing too much to your hair and drying it out. This may sound strange, and even if you don't have dandruff, try Head and Shoulders. Only once every so often, it really makes a diff.

Ok, I LOVE my Wen Hair Care Products. I have thick curly hair that is dry and brittle since moving up north from very humid climates. When I moved up here I did not recognize my hair any longer. I watched a few infomercials on Wen decided to try it (not a big online order person) and instantly fell in love. My mom who has thin dry brittle hair uses it too and is in love with the results ... along with my sister who's dry frizzy hair is soft and smooth. A few things to note if you do not rinse it out properly your hair WILL feel greasy or oily but once I talked to the gal on the phone about MY hair and what I was experiencing she made some reccomendations on tweaking my use and I am good to GO! I also do not wash my hair daily but I do style daily. I use Got 2b heat protectant (esp if your hair is dry) and their dry shampoo between washes. It breaks up some of the hair spray and oils so you can easily style again with out going thru all the washing/drying etc.

I use Wen every once in a while.
It is not a miracle in a bottle.
But I like it.
I have never had an issue w/ it making my hair greasy.
I also so not use the (huge) recommended amount. Maybe that is why?...
I use it more as a leave in conditioner truth be told.

I also like Giovanni shampoo. Use that most often (I rotate). Smooth as Silk and 50:50 (clarifying) lines. Really nice product.

I have LOTS of thin-ish-medium hair. For me it looks the best a few days dirty.

I recently got my hair cut, and some long layers added in, which always helps me feel better about my hair. I've never been good about making time to go get my hair cut, sometimes I'll go 6 months or more, but when I finally do it feels so good! This last time I bought a couple products that I love, the brand is called It's A Ten, and each product has 10 benefits that it brings to your hair. I really like how it helps to control my hair, while still leaving it soft and touchable, and adding body too. I'm using the styling cream and the hairspray. For shampoo, right now I'm using Suave Professional, and I like it pretty good. I never stick with one kind of shampoo for very long though, seems like they all stop working after awhile, so I like to switch it up. I've seen the infomercial on Wen haircare, and been tempted as well. I'm interested to see your responses on that.

I looked into Wen and saw a lot of negative reviews.

I REALLY like Aveeno shampoo and conditioner. I don't use the conditioner every time I wash my hair. I have dry hair with highlights.
What I really like is the spray on/leave in Aveeno conditioner. Love it. About 3 spritzes before combing.
And you HAVE to use some type of protection from the flat iron--I use the Tresemme Heat Tamer (I think that's what it's called). And generally I don't like Tresemme stuff.
If you're clipping it up, can you just apply the spray conditioner & put it up damp--the drying & flat ironing really add up to damage. Your gel is probably drying it out, too, as most contain alcohol.

I stay committed with getting my hair cut and colored every three months. While it is expensive it is the one indulgence I love! I have a lot of hair, it is thick and I have to have it layered and thinned out a bit as I just have so much of it. I also use(d) Pantene but find after about 3-4 months I need to switch to something else for a month. When our Beauty Warehouse has their Liter Sale in August and January I stock up on Biolage. They have a great moisture/restructuring shampoo and conditioner that worked after I started losing my hair in clumps after giving birth. Good Luck!

I like the Garnier Fructise line of hair products. Works great for my fine, thin, frizzy hair.
