Hi F., My daughter was born almost two years ago and I am still losing hair on my head like crazy to the point where I'm going bald. I went to my doctor and he took blood to test and everything is fine so he told me to go to a dermatologist and I have prescribed Medication to make my hair grow again, it's working so far because it has stopped falling out alot so maybe you want to do that.

I know your hair is supposed to fall out after you have a baby, But I think six months of it is too much so I suggest going to see a doctor.

This is a completely normal hormonal reaction to having a baby. Don't stress over it, as that will make it worse. I had that issue for up to a year and a half after giving birth. You can use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner to help with your hair loss, but time will be the best remedy.

Hi F. i had this happen to me right after birth. I didn't seem to loose any hair when i was preg. and after words it seemed i was defintly making up for it. some things that helped me is keeping you hair clean. there is a shampoo you can buy at Ultra it's just for hair loss. Also don't wear you hair in a poney tail that stops blood flow to your scalp and can cause more hair loss. I hope this helps.

F. check your thyroid. It happened to me. Now I take a pill for it and it is under control.

I also lost alot of hair with my first baby and had 7 cavities with my second. We loose so much calcium and nutrients while being pregnant and then nursing it takes a while for our body to recover.
I just found a new product that is really good for absorbing nutrients and it helps you to boost your metabolism and provides more energy. It is all natural and has no side effects while taken with other medications. It actually helps to absorb your vitamins better. They have done numerous studies and found these amaing Asian herbs that are known for their healing attributes.

If you are interested in trying out some of the products you can look at my web site to get more information.

go ahead and have your thyroid tested- but it is almost definilty because you had a baby recently. Mine continued to fall out until my baby was about 8 months.

I lost hair too, but it came back.

Vitamins and herbs might help and certainly won't hurt.

Hi F.! My daughter is a year now and I lost handfuls of hair at a time until I almost had none left for a little over 6 months. It has started growning back and now I have all this baby hair. :) It's just part of the process that we have to go through. If you don't see a change by a year I would definately talk to your doctor though.
