My Awkward Body! I Don't Have Veins on My Legs Anymore! WOOHOOO

I posted a few questions before on varicose veins and how they hurt like H E double hockey sticks (that phrase makes M. giggle like a grade schooler=) ) and how I hated how they looked.
I had them up the back of my left leg pretty bad (some on my right but not bad)- they bulged out and aside from being in pain every day I was so ashamed. I felt like a monster. When I was with my ex I didn't mind so much, he was with M. since I was 14 and had seen it all, so I was never as embarassed until we were done and I entered the dating world again.
My boyfriend never mentioned anything about them. In fact he told M. how he loved my legs and how it was the first thing he noticed about M. (I had black tights on--not bare legs). He's a legs guy. Seriously I have 34DDD boobs, how could I find the one legs guy who doesn't care about boobs, and you may think how sweet that he complimented M. on them, but to M. thats like going up to someone with a face covered in pimples and saying how you love their skin and cant get enough of it. What are the chances I'd end up witha "legs guy". I couldn't even distract him from my legs by jumping up and down naked. ---heck he hardly saw them though because of my sneakiness (yea thats sarcasm--I'd say I mastered the art of akward sneakiness)...I must've looked like a fool. Every time I was naked, I'd walk backwards away from him. I'd start off walking regualr and once my legs were in sight for him, I'd spin and walk backwards and then spin around the right away when I was far enough away. If laying on the bed face down, I'd bend my leg up (same for being bent over--yup I did yoga positions while doing the dirty=) ). If I walked from the shower, I'd hang the towel down the back of my leg instead of around M. to keep warm. If he joined M. in the shower I'd do those awkward spins again. Gosh If he wanted to wash M. from head to toe, I'd wiggle like crazy when he got to my legs and spin around. Yes I was a shower ballerina=)
So anyway I'd like to say I edured surgery for the pain and discomfort they caused, but I was vain and did it do I could stop spinning. Stop wearing yoga pants with a bikini top on the beach. Stop wearing pants all year long. Stop contorting my body into odd positions to hide the backs of my legs.
So I wanted to post this to let you girls know I'm free from the "nervous twirls" and the horrible pain I'd get from them, but mostly free from the yoga sex psotions and walking backwards (I'm clumsy, that was no easy feat)
I got the EVLT done on one leg and the Venus closure (so much better) on the other leg. This hopefully prevents future ones, but with my see through skin I think if I have another child I'll be doing the spins again and then did the microphlebectomy to remove the veins , which don't believe the lies, it hurt like crazy!! And now I can walk straight and spin free!

So anyway my question of the day:

Do you have any flaw that makes you do awkward things to hide it?
Do you know anyone who had this procedure done?
Are you embarassed by my appalling vanity problems?
I'm wearing a dress today with clear not black stockings=)- I have a few small bruises left on my inner leg, but compared to the veins I used to have its nothing.=)

What can I do next?

I'm J. loving your writing here JM! You had M. laughing til I had tears in my eyes! I am so happy for you that you not only have your legs back for your honey (without the spins!), but that the pain will be gone. Take it easy while you heal, though! Stay off your feet some - a woman I know went back to work too soon (she stands up all day) and her's got infected.

Happy, happy news!

OMG, your yoga, ballerina and walking backward stories are pretty funny from here. I'm so glad you are happy with your results! I think women should have procedures if it makes them feel better so no judging here.

Have fun with your "legs guy"!!

Good for you! I think a little vanity is good for everyone anyway:). I don't know why people suffer when there are solutions to these "problems".

Good for you! I'm actually jealous! I have some vericose veins but not too bad. My mom and my grandma have them really bad so I know I'm destined to have them get worse....
I'm like you but with my boobs. I used to have nice ones but my last child sucked the life out of them. Now they're these A-, shrivled, stretch-marked, sad little baggies hanging on my chest. I keep a bra on during most sex and try hard to keep him from seeing them. After my next (and last) baby, I'll be going in for some much needed work on them. :)
