My daughters go to Kinderhouse Montessori also (and we live in Carmel Valley). It is AMI accredited, if you are looking for true Montessori. I'm very happy with the school.

I have heard that Carmel Valley Montessori is good, my friend sent her son there for a couple of years and really liked it. I send my son to Kinderhouse Montessori in sorrento vallery - its off of Mira Mesa blvd on Flanders rd, so not very far from carmel valley. Many carmel valley folks send their kids to this place. I like it for my son. Hope this helps!

My daughter attended Santa Fe Montessori (Solana Beach) for 5 years (pre-school - 3rd grade). School is very professional and well run; wonderful teachers.
For a toddler (2 - 4 years old), Montessori Children's Nest in Encinitas taught my daughter all the basics to be a valued member of the family and the community (i.e. friends).

There are a lot of "Montessori" schools in San Diego County, and that is because Maria Montessori and her sons never "patented" their names and method. However, one of the few schools with all level Montessori certifications is Santa Fe Montessori in Solana Beach. Do your research before shopping... good luck! Ali
