I know nothing about farmers markets. What I do know is there are some employers that will cater to your schedule. They are also pretty easy jobs to get and gives you work experience while you look for a career. Don't know if they have Panera BreadCo around your parts but they are one.

can you sell handmade crafts? I make all sorts of stuff, barrettes, clippies, tutu's, all simple stuff, no sewing involved. The possibilities are endless & there is etsy.com if you wanted to sell on line (its free)

You could make and sell Artisan Bread. Usually retails for $4 a loaf at the grocery store, but probably costs only about 50 cents a loaf to make. Ingredients are flour, water, salt, and yeast. Maybe you have those in your pantry anyway. You could add raisins and cinnamon to make a breakfast bread, or cheese and caramelized onions to make a savory bread. Check out "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day" from the library. People will pay crazy amounts of money for homemade bread. Good luck!! Sorry to hear about your divorce.

Look at what is being sold at the Farmer's market and for how much. Then decide what you like to do and try it. Look for things that don't have much competition. Example: If 25% of the stalls are selling tomatoes, Don't grow and sell tomatoes. If no one is selling blackberries or strawberries, then grow and sell those.

Sorry you decided to get a divorce instead of working it out.
Good luck to you and yours

Check out this website-she makes some of the cutest treats. http://www.bakerella.com/category/pops-bites/cake-pops/ The cakepops that she makes are wonderful and actually Starbucks has recently started selling them in 3 different flavors. They would be inexpensive to make an you could sell them for at least $1 or so a piece-maybe more. Another trend food item is hand pies...just a mini pie that you can eat like a cupcake. You could make them savory-like tomato and basil-or sweey. You could also do a good home made salsa or guacamole.
