Hello Mom,

My husband, 8 month old daughter, and myself have relocated from Arizona to Middletown, CT and we need to find some fun Mommy and baby (or child) friends. Does anyone know of any Mom groups or Mom and baby classes in the area? We're up for anything!

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi J.,
Welcome to the State of Ct. Middletown/Cromwell has a mom's group which you can find out more information on the web. I think the email is ____@____.com but not sure about that. There is Kid city in Middletown for when she is a little older. There are numerous parks in the area which during the nice weather, you can meet other moms. I have a 18 month daughter and live in Berlin, about 15 minutes from you. Let me know if you have any questions I could help with.

Welcome to connecticut! I recently moved to Middletown as well (we moved from within CT). I have a 5 week old son. I'm not sure about any mom or mom/baby groups but am familiar with the area if you need help with anything.

See if there is a mom's club - google moms club and put in the town/state.

Russell Library is awesome. Not sure on the programming as we haven't used it, but the library itself is great. Last time we were there (maybe year ago), they had a little kids room in the back of the children's section...puzzles, board books, etc...and a door, which a crawling/walking/wandering child can't get out. Good place.

Also, you have to go to Kid City. It's one of the best children's museums. Your child is a bit young now, but just wait. It's loads of fun.

Berlin-Peck Library's playtime (in Berlin) is one of the best (free) things going. It's Fridays from 10 - 12, an open room with plenty of toys. It's a great place to meet other moms and let your child socialize and play as she gets a bit older.

Also, check out Russell Library (in Middletown), they have storytimes beginning at 12 mo.
