I am thinking of buying a Magic Bullet. Does anyone have any opinions on this product good or bad? Is it worth buying it? I mostly want to make healthy smoothie drinks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you so much to all of the ladies who responded to my question. I appreciate how many of you so quickly answered. It seems like most of you love it but I question why some of you really did not like it at all. It seems like the ones who did not like it might have had a lemon. I am not sure. I will look into the Mrs Kitchen on e bay and possibly the Cooks at JC Penny before I make a decision. I really appreciate the tip of buying the Magic Bullet at bed bath and beyond with the coupon. I bought the Magic Bullet at Bed Bath ad Beyond for $39.99 with coupon. Thanks everyone. I need no more tips on the Magic bullet. Done.

My husband and I love our magic bullet. We make salsa with it. Blend, mix, chop veggies even. It's better than a blender and worth buying.

Hi. I bought one for my husband and we found that the plastic top part always became stuck in the mixer part. Sometimes it was pretty hard to get apart. Not sure if it was just ours or what but he doesn't use it anymore.

He loved the wand blender - the one you hold by hand and dip into the drink. We used that until it died after a few years of use.

I would recommend a really good mixer.

I love mine! It doesn't chop ice too well but it gets the job done for a margarita! I use mine mostly for sauces and fresh salsa for cooking, but you could definitely do a lot more with it! The clean up is the best part! If you make yogurt smoothies with frozen banana and fresh berries it works perfectly; just be wary of ice and frozen berries, etc.

Love it! I make all my daughter's baby food in it and make quick smoothies for myself. I'm sure I'll use it to make homemade salsa and sauces.

I have used the Magic Bullet and the "off brand" Bella version and love them both. Like many of the comments below, I use mine primarily for smoothies.

We love ours when we use it! It is great for individual shakes and smoothies! Oreo shakes are the best. A few oreos a few scoops of vanilla ice cream, and a bit of milk and an awesome shake is what you have! I would rather have the magic bullet versus a blender any day!

My husband is making his daily protien drink right now with our magic bullet. Its awesome! We love it. Worth the money for sure. We use it daily and for many different things, but mostly smoothies. We have never had a problem with it, very durable. Its last longer then our last blender did! and more affordable. :)

We bought the generic version of the Magic Bullet a couple years ago (either from JCPenney or Macy's - I can't remember which) and we use it all the time and love it. It was much cheaper - they are on sale all the time. It's so much easier to use than a blender.

I absolutely love my Magic Bullet. We make 2-3 smoothies in it per day, one for each member of the family. Crushed ice awesomely. No need to wash a big blender container in between since it comes with 5 containers/cups. I also use it to make baby food. I would definitely recommend it. Whenever this one dies we will invest in another!

I bought the off-brand one from ebay called "Mrs. Kitchen" and I love it! I think it's great how you can blend and drink from the same container- saves me one step in cleaning and I LOVE that! It is great for making smoothies. And I loved the colored rings for all the tops of the cups- you always know which drink is yours. The infomercial is super cheesy but seriously, this one is worth the investment. I use mine very often. But in the infomercial they say it can be used as a juice extractor (making juice from carrots, or other hard vegetables) but that is a total crock. This machine is in no way strong enough to do that. It will crush ice, however. It's perfect for making smoothies! I put in frozen strawberries, a little ice, some vanilla and maybe cinnamon, some sweetener, and any other fresh fruits I have around and it's great! It would be great to keep one at work too.

I've used the off brands for years everyday. Sometimes using it up to 3 times per day and never had a problem. I've never paid more than $20. Sometimes they are on sale at Macy's and I use the 20% off coupon. When I've had for a couple of years, I start looking for a sale so I can have a backup when I wear one out.

It's wonderful but breaks pretty easily. I think we had ours just over a year before the plastic piece at the base that spins broke. Of course there's no way to fix it without buying a new one.

We've found an alternative at Walmart or Target that is much cheaper ($15-20). It has a lid and spins from the bottom instead of flipping upside down to spin, but it does almost as good a job and for smoothies it would be perfect. I don't remember the brand, but I'm sure you can find it at either place.

Hi. I have a Magic Bullet and LOVE it for smoothies! We drink Juice Plus smoothies almost everyday and I like the consistency it produces much better than my blender. However, when I want everyone (4 of us)to have a drink, I have to make a few batches or fill a couple of the cups to mix because of the size - that's the only (kind of) bad thing... but it is still easy and efficient. I have not been impressed with its chopping of veggies though - I might be using the wrong attachment. I put carrots, bell peppers and pickles in my food processor to quickly chop for tuna salad. I've tried using the bullet a couple of times and end up with part pureed and part giant chunks... it's weird. But, for smoothies - awesome! Good luck! :)

I have a Majic Bullet and have used it for years. It is the best thing for making individual drinks. I make a shake every morning. You make it in the cup you drink from so little to clean. I just rinse off the blade part and use it again the next day. You will love it.

We have a Magic Bullet. We don't use it much anymore, but I think it is worth buying one. We got it so we could make smoothies and healthy drinks. We did and they were really good. It comes with a little recipe book too. I do like to make my own guacamole with it too. The recipe books has different types of recipes in it. You can also find stuff online to try as well. I would say get it.

I love my magic bullet! It is well worth the $$ to me. I like the fact that it will "chop" ice into a texture that is great in smoothies. We like to have "ice cream" in the evening with ice, fruit and powdered milk. It is amazing how good this treat is with little fat and calories.

I have a similar blending system called the Rocket by Bella. It's a lot cheaper than the Magic Bullet. You can get it at Kohl's or Macy's. I haven't had it for long, but so far so good. It does not crush ice, however. I have to use already crushed ice from my ice-maker. If your refridgerator ice-maker has the crushed ice option, then the Rocket would work fine.

I have a magic bullet and use it for smoothies. It also pulverises onions etc. so I can put them in food for flavor and vitamins without kids picking them out.

We love our Magic Bullet. Our new favorite thing is to whip up scrambled eggs in it. First, I whip the eggs, then chop up the onions; but the things I want chunky, I hand mix in the cup before cooking.

Best tip: Use your 20% off coupon from Bed, Bath and Beyond and buy it there. That way, if you don't like the item, you can return it (never buy off the TV; too much hassle to return it).

By the way, if you didn't know, Bed, Bath and Beyond accepts all their own expired coupons! You can always use one coupon per item you're buying. And, they also sell all those "As Seen on TV" items!

We've had the Magic Bullet for 3 years and love it! My favorite part is that you can customize the smoothies per person. My husband likes it more liquidy and I like them thick. It's also great for making salsa. It really works and I've never had a problem with mine.

We got one for a gift several years ago. It didn't chop ice nearly as well as the infomercial would lead you to believe and we tried to do some of the 'recipes' in the book that came with it.
After a few weeks of experimenting and still no real success, we got rid of it.
I don't think it's worth the price.

I don't have it, but my parents do and they love it. They tell us we need to get one all the time. I think my mom mainly uses it for her smoothies as well. She did say that she had to learn how to do it properly so that it didn't leak, but after that it was easy. She's used it every day for the past 2 years. Not sure if this helps you or not.
