Magazines - Likes and Dislikes

It's that time of year again - fund raising. Both the school and girl scouts are selling magazines and I like to support them by purchasing a few subscriptions, but I'm not sure which ones. Does anyone read any magazines that they really love, or any that you've been disappointed in?

Hi L., If you like recipes, quick and easy you should get: Every Day with Rachel Ray! I ordered it from my Grand daughter's fundraiser. It is packed with good stuff. My best, Grandma Mary

I subscribe to Reader's Digest, and TV Guide, both of which I enjoy, and although I don't have a personal subscription to it, I also enjoy reading People Magazine, when I'm lucky enough to come across one in a doctor's office or someplace like that!

Hi L.,

I love Family Fun. It is cheap, easy to read & has some great craft ideas. If you like to cook, Taste of Home has some great recipes! I also try to get some info on current events with Time or Newsweek. Best of luck!

Hi!
I think that Oprah's magazine is a good choice.
Have a nice day,
Celia
(also needing to buy her girl scout magazine subscriptions!)

I like Rachel Ray, O, Real Simple, Good Housekeeping, Architechural Digest because I like to cook and decorate. I would recommend a magazine that speaks to your interests or passions. Perhaps something like Disney mag. for the kids.

I also love the idea of giving them as gifts for the holidays. That is just wonderful because for six months to a year the recipient of these gifts are still receiving them.

i'm giving subscriptions for a christmas gift.. my sister in law has little ones. so family fun is for her.. my older sister in law.. has teens.. so womans day or family circle or something like that.. or a cooking mag like rachel ray.. hope this helps.. people is always a good choice too.. i also like readers digest..

I like consumer reports. It does a good job of preparing you to be an informed consumer.

More, I can't say enough about it. It's writteb for Women over Fourty, but even if your not fourty yet. It's written for grown-ups.
