Hi mamas! I'm looking for some new ideas of things to do with my husband and kiddos. What are some of your favorite family activities?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

(1) putting on halloween costumes and music on the stereo and dancing;
(2) having a "car wash" with a few squirts of dish soap and water in the water table, and a strip of hot wheels "track";
(3) coloring together;
(4) measuring, mixing and baking;
(5) going to the library to pick out new books;
(6) going to a "restaurant" - this can include the local bagel place

Actually anything with water. Car washes usually start a water fight. We have a pool and a slip-n-slide that we all love. Sometimes we put the slip-n-slide going into the pool. Other things are bike rides, going to the park when the sun is going down so it isn't quite so hot out. Movie time in our basement since it is nice and cool down there.

We love doing these things as a family:

1: Local Farmers Markets on Saturday mornings
2: Taking walks through the neighborhood
3: We have a local splash pad with great seating for parents.
4: Bowling
5: Story time at a local bookstore (they do a night one each friday and the kids get to wear their jammies)
6: Visiting PetSmart to see the new kittens, puppies and other fun animals.
7: Going to the Disney Store (this one can get ugly sometimes, but we still have fun:))
8: Going to the movies and viewing them at home.
9: Going to Whole Foods on Fridays to get dinner out on their patio.
10: Visiting the aquarium in our area as well as a gorgeous arboreteum.

When its too hot outside, or too cold. I will get the husbands shaving cream, and but a little on the kitchen table, smear it around. Then let them finger draw on it. The older one likes to do his name. Little miss likes to do circles. I have to watch her, as she loves to put everything and anything in her mouth. =(

For some reason they also like to get stickers and put them on a sheet of paper. You have to watch out they don't put stickers on table though.
I am excited to see what over ideas come your way. As mine are 3 and almost 5.

Parks, swimming and camping are some faves. In the summers we live to go to the drive in theater(it's about an hour from us, but we always have a ball!). Bike riding is always a hit. Walks around the neighborhood are fun...we look for "treasures". We love to hit the snow cone stands! When we need to beat the Texas heat we head indoors to the local museums. Sometimes it's as simple as sitting in the yard and playing.
