Hello,

I haven't gone to an OB GYN for a while since my doctor retired. I started with" I'll look for another one" and that never happened. While taking to my own mother who just had a full hysterectomy last week, I realized I can't postpone this any longer.

I would love to hear from you about your recommendation. I prefer NW Austin, Round Rock or Pflugerville Location.

Who would you recommend? Thanks

A.

Dr. Christina Sebestyan is new to town, is a very kind and compasstionate young female OBGYN who I would HIGHLY recommend. She has a wonderful balance of "doctor knowledge" as well as just a kind and sweet personality. She is a young mother herself. She practices at North Austin Medical Center, in professional building right across from the hospital, at Mopac and Parmer, so hopefully close to you.

I absolutely love my doc Her name is Dr. Mills she is with the Renaissance womens group. Her office is in the building behind the North Austin Medical Center. She has been wonderful. I have had my first child under her care and now will be having my second! They (her office) also does the bone density, and other tests for how well the aging process is going. I couldn't ask for a better doctor! And if your thinking of kids or more kids I love that at north austin med center you can order what you want and have it brought within 30 minutes to your room!

Well good luck on your search if you care to contact her to meet to see if you like her here is her number and its option 6 to her office. ###-###-####

Dr. Solomon and Dr. Hughes @ Seton NW Hospital are great. I saw Dr. Solomon six years ago while pregnant with my first child but he was on vacation when she was born so Dr. Hughes delivered her. Both are extremely kind and gentle. I'm also expecting again and have gone back to Dr. Solomon.

I agree with some of the other recommendations. Austin Regional Clinic OB/Gyn's---ARC at Seton Northwest Hospital Is the BEST, BEST, BEST !!! Dr Hughes (a male) is excellent, very smart, very good sense of humor, excellent doctor. Also Dr Lockey and Dr. Brasher-Giles (females) are also excellent. I personally would not consider anyone else for my care---always great care.

I have gone to Dr. JoBess Hammer for years. Call her clinic located in the St. David's Hospital Building on 32nd Street at Red River in Austin.

If she has retired, any one of her associates are very good.

I agree with Kimberly W., Dr. Merrit with Renaissance Womens Group or Dr. Melanie Collins. Dr. Merrit actually delivered my son at North Austin Medical Center. Dr. Collins was my OBGYN but she had just went home b/c I wasn't there yet, and then all of a sudden they were like "um you son is right there!". Dr. Merrit was awesome she even posed for pictures with us and was so polite and nice.

I absolutely love my OB so much I've reccommended him (or one of his partners) to everyone. My OB is Dr Mark Maunder at Oakwood Womens right beside RR hosp. I've been seeing him for almost 8 years and wouldn't change. I've seen several partners over the years also and they are all wonderful. I've also got several friends that go the mine and the partners. Their ph # is ###-###-####. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
Good luck!

I have worked with lots of OB/Gyn doctors and I think the best group is ARC. I would recommend Dr. Lockey or Dr Brasher-Giles for a female and Dr. Hughes or Dr. Solomon for a male. They work at the Seton Northwest Hospital on 183.

Go see Dr. Merrit with Renaissance Womens Group (www.rwgdocs.com). They are located next to North Austin Medical Center, at Parmer and Mopac. I like her mix of bedside manner, her medical knowledge, and her "mother" wisdom (she has 2 kids of her own). Her nursing staff is excellent, and her PA, Wendy, is one of the nicest people I have met. I have heard good things about all the other physicians in the practice as well. Good luck!

I LOVE my OB, Dr. Patrick Peveto (at Seton Northwest), but recently referred a friend and she had to wait for a long time in the waiting room....he is very busy. Worth the wait, I think...he delivered both my babies. Not sure if it is the same with non OB patients...might not be as busy. The nurse practitioner there (Pat) is awesome too!! Good Luck!
