Looking for Pediatrician in South Gilbert

I am looking for a great pediatrician near my home (Higley/Williamsfield) who is open to or encorporates both eastern and western medicine. I usually see a naturopathic dr. for myself, but have found an OB/GYN who has a naturopath at her office and really blends holistic medicine with modern. I love that she offers the whole spectrum. She has been great for me and I would love to find someone like that who is a pediatrician. I am willing to travel for it, but would LOVE someone close by. Thanks for any help!

What can I do next?

So I excitedly clicked on this to see if you got any great advice because I'd love the same type of pediatrician for my children, and you live exactly where I live. So then I wondered if I know you and then I realized it's you, my sister! Ha ha! Welcome to mamasource and motherhood, H.! Maybe our OB/GYN has some referrals for a pediatrician like her, or maybe our myopractor can guide us to a good pediatrician. I've had 3 different peds due to moving and none of them have been super supportive of my choice to delay vaccinations. But the one I'm with now at Mesa Pediatrics (on Higley and Pecos) has been the most supportive and least pushy of them all. She only encouraged me to get 1 vaccination that she felt was important. But since she's the expert and I'm not, I tend to default to what she thinks I should do.

If you join the Yahoo! group for the Arizona Birth Network and post your question, they should have plenty of answers for you. I don't know of one, but I'd love to find one myself!

You're speaking of Dr. Brass, right? I'm going to be using her for co-care with my midwife for my next pregnancy, and I'm glad to hear you recommend her (assuming we're speaking of the same person...).

Dr. Diane Matsumoto is the best pediatrician there is however she is not in Gilbert. 40th street and Pecos in Awahtukee. She is right off the 202 so she is easy to get to. It doesn't matter where we move, I would never stop taking my kids to her. Best of luck. ###-###-####.

I go to Gilbert Pediatrics...I always forget where their office is, I think it's just East of Greenfield on Baseline. I'm not sure how much holistic medicine they do, but they are wonderful! They have been very receptive to my wishes (limiting immunizations, trying non-medicinal approaches to things when possible, etc). You might try there. I once saw a chiropractor who also did naturopathic medicine...I don't know if he's still in practice, but his name is Dr. Biggs and he was off of Val Vista and Southern...you might see if he's still in practice and ask him about a naturopathic pediatrician. Good Luck!!
