I agree with Suzanne G! Gilbert Pediatrics is great. We go to Dr. Leavitt and I have been really, really happy with him. I'm a first time mom, and he always answers questions before I ask them, and is so thorough.

My husband and I go to Val Vista Family Medicine on Baseline and Val Vista. We've been going there for over 10 years!

Welcome to Gilbert!

I found this doctor after going through a few really bad ones! I look for a few things.>>> Location, appearance, attitude, communication, and most important... how my son's like the actual doctor!!!

I go to Gateway Pediatircs. They are in Chandler, north of the Chandler Regional Hospital! There address is 205 S. Dobson Suite 1, Chandler, AZ 85224! The phone number is ###-###-####! It is Dr. Sudha Chandrasekhar, M.D., F.A.A.P!

As for my qualifications this is how they compare!>>> The location is ok for me. I live on Val Vista and Southern, but to shoot to either the 60 or the 202 is no problem! The appearance of the office is wonderful. They just moved to a brand new office! They have separate enterances for sick and for well children! The toys are great! My son loves the bus they have. I am not a shallow person, but if it shows they can take care of there business, I am more likely to trust them to take care of my child!

As for communication... I haven't had any problems. One thing that I really liked is that I am a breastfeeding mother. They will give you a boppy pillow, and a private room, so that you can breastfeed your baby while your there! That was impressive to me! They also have a lactation consultant there to help you if you are having problems!

And last but not least... My older son Dillon, is normally TERRIFIED of the doctor. I don't know what happened but I hated it when I had to take him to the doctor. Dr. Sudha is the first doctor that he has ever smiled at!!! Enough said!

Well good luck, and I have one more suggestion... Stay away from Chandler Tempe Pediatrics! Dr. Dungaroni, and his staff wrongly my diagnosed my son several times, with ear infections. In which he was given way to much antibiotics! Also there billing system is questionable, and I the front office lady (the Dr.'s wife) was very rude!... So just a little warning about that office! :)

Good luck again!! :)

When I moved here in November I also looked for a great doctor. Thanks to mamasource I found an amazing pediatrician. I'm not sure if you are looking for a doctor for yourself or your baby, but Mesa Pediatrics got the most votes when I asked, so I went there. We are so happy there, I've only been a few times, today was one of them, and the staff and the Dr's are super caring. We go to the Gilbert Branch, it's at Greenfield and Guadalupe, and we see Dr.Zanrich. I really like her. You can find all thier info at www.mesapeds.com. Good luck and welcome!

I go to AZ Vista Family Medicine at Greenfield and Guadalupe. I LOVE it there, with the femal doc and male PA because my WHOLE family goes there, even my son who is now 2.5 and has been seeing the doc or PA there since he was born. They are very nice and take their time. I have never felt rushed and I love that they educate me on issues and do not push antibiotics for everything. Give them a call...###-###-####

Hey! I actually work for a pediatric office in Gilbert, AZ (well, I am on bedrest so I dont work there NOW but I have for 2 yrs and Im going back after this baby is born) and they are wonderful! It's called Gilbert Pediatrics. We have 2 locations. One is on Greenfield and Baseline and the other is out on Pecos and Power. I can tell you it's wonderful because my Dad started the practice in 1988. There are now 5 pediatricians and 2 nurse practitioners working there and I LOVE them all! They take almost any insurance and their phone number is ###-###-####. If you have any other questions, just let me know! Good luck! I know it's hard to trust someone with the health and care of your baby.

My kids also go to Mesa Pediatrics Gilbert Branch and LOVE it. We have seen most of the doctors out of that office and all of them have been wonderful. They are very kind and caring and patient. Their number is ###-###-####.

As for my husband and I, we see Dr. Thomas Sutton. He is a wonderful family practice doctor. His office is Associates in Family Medicine and is located on Southern between Gilbert Rd. and Lindsay. Their number is ###-###-####. I have been seeing him for 23+ years. He really takes time to explain things and listens to what you have to say.

Hope this helps.

Hello C.,

I am a mother of 2 boys in Gilbert. I found my PCP for my children at a prenatal class before my first son was born (almost 3 years ago). My boys are 20 months apart, so I've made plenty of trips to her office.

She is part of a 3 female doctor group. The group is called Healing Hearts Pediatrics. They are located in Chandler (off Dobson and Galveston (just north of Chandler Blvd.). It takes about 20 minutes from Gilbert.

Dr. Nilam Khurana is her name. She's the one we always see. I've seen Dr. Elizabeth McKenna before too. My second son was 2 months early (he just turned one) so she is very helpful with recommending specialist to help him with some delays.

The office phone is: ###-###-####

Hope this helps.

On a side note: My husband and I are approaching our 5 year anniversary also. We moved to Arizona about 4 years ago because we hated the cold weather in Indiana. We love outdoors to. Sounds like we may have a lot in common.

This is actually the first time I've used mamasource to respond to someone, but if your interested in any other help in the area...just ask.

Try Canyon Family Physicians. We see Amanda Milner, and she is great. She also works in their pediatrics, and only does adults 1-2 days a week. She is VERY thorough, and spent almost 1 hour with me on my first visit. She listens to what I want/need and helps find solutions to any concern I might have. She is not just a Rx writer. They have an office at Gilbert and Baseline. Good luck.

Mesa Pediatrics Gilbert Office on the corner of Greenfield and Guadalupe. We use PA Bill Gause for both our kids. I have always been a little biased against male Dr's, PA's or NP's, and so I always requested a female. We started seeing Bill after being fit into his schedule for an emergency. My daughter took to him right away. It was obvious that she was much more comfortable with him that she had been with our previous pediatrician. He is very knowledgeable and really listens to my husband and me when we have any concerns. He is efficient, so I've never had to wait, yet he never makes me feel like he's in a rush to get us out of the office.
