Looking for Good Water Aerobic Classes.
I am looking for a good water aerobic class in the Plano/Frisco area. My back went into a severe muscle spasm last Sunday and had to be taken to the ER. They said two weeks of complete rest and then I can slowly consider doing water aerobics among my other gym activities. Does anyone know of a good aerobic class that can help me work on back strengthening. Thanks a bunch

Another vote for the Allen Natatorium classes. There is one instructor who I particularly like- her name is Lana. She teaches class at around 9:00. You can buy a pass- but the classes cost $4 each. Good luck.

I know there are some at the Plano YMCA (on Tennyson between Preston and the Tollway. If you're a member ($64/month for a family; less for an individual membership), you can go any time for free. I'm not sure if you can pay for them separately somehow.

I joined LA Fitness. They have an Aqua fit class during the week at 6pm and on Saturdays at 9am. Days vary by location I think. But I have been taking it and I really enjoy it. Plus the whole reason I joined is childcare. I have two kids and it's 10 bucks a month for them and I pay 35 bucks a month. So works for me all around.

I take water class's over in Allen at the Natatorium there. I've been doing it for 2 years now. The teachers are great! It cost $4.00 a class roughly. Check out www.cityofallen.org click on parks and rec. You don't have to sign up for the sessions. You can buy a punch card worth 12 class's. You can use this card for any of the class's offered. It's great because you aren't limited to only 1 class & time. Good luck.

I suggest AQUA-FIT over on Summit Ave in Plano. It's near Ave K and Plano Parkway. It's a warm water pool and will feel sooo good on your back. The instructors are arthritis certified and I've seen plenty of people heal their backs, hips, knees, etc. The summer schedule is in effect now...so call ###-###-####. Here is the website www.aquafitplano.com - Join us - we have a lot of fun.

Lifetime Fitness offers free classes with membership. The dues are high but it is well worth it to me. I personally take the water arobics at the Plano and Allen locations and I really enjoy them. The class is suprisingly a pretty good workout. I have also heard Cooper Arobic Center offers classes but don't know that for sure. Plano parks and Rec. also offers classes. Frisco may also offer a class through their parks and rec. Hope your back is feeling better soon.
