Anyone satisfied with the care of their pediatrician in Frederick Md? I've been going to the pediatric group and purposefully saw different doctors for each visit of my lil girl's first year of life and just haven't found the one yet. I visited a dermatologist for her yesterday and realized the care and overall bedside manner I'm looking for still exists and thought I'd poll this site for suggestions. I appreciate the help!

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for your info! I'm at the ped center already and just found everyone to be a lil hurried and textbook, probably the nature of the biz. I'm a new mom and want you to feel for anything that could b coming down the pike in the next 18 yrs:) too much to ask? probably so. I think I'll request Dr Bromberg next time and keep Middletown Fam, Strauss, Torres in my file. Really appreciate the help!

Hi D.
I have two grandchildren who live in Frederick. One goes to the pediatric group and the other goes to Dr. Ernesto Torres. I love Dr. Torres because of his great bedside manner. He is so gentle and loving with the children. I also like the fact that you see him every time. If I were a young mom that's who I would take my children to. He seems to be more of an old time doctor who really gets to know his patients.
A little about me:
I'm a mother of five, step mother of three and grandmother of 13.

I go to the Pediatric Center. They have 3 Frederick locations and many doctors, so it is easy to find one that you like. Drs Bromburg and Crowder are very knowledgeable. I saw Crowder for the first 2 years of my toddler's life, but then he started practicing in Meyersville, and I don't feel like driving out there, but my friends told me that Bromburg is really good and nice, so we're going to start seeing him. I have friends who like Cagel and Fienberg as well. Good luck.

Hi, D.. We go to the Pediatric Center (1475 Taney Avenue, ###-###-####; they also have locations in Myersville, Mt. Airy and two other offices in Frederick). We love them. In particular, Drs. Crowder and Hendi are wonderful, but we have been happy with everyone we've seen. They are so good with our kids (2 year old twin girls). All of my nieces and nephews (15 total) have gone there. My nephew (who is 23) still goes there (although Dr. Crowder told him he should start looking for an adult care doctor). I cannot say enough good things about these docs. They have a website if you'd like to check it out -- www.thepedcenter.com. Good luck in your search.

I've been taking my kids to the Spring Ridge office of the Pediatric Center for almost 7 years now and have been very happy with the care they receive. Dr. Lisa Rakowski is very good with them, as are all the physicians we've seen at that office. They also have some very good PAs that work there. Give it a try!

We've been going to The Pediatric Center since my oldest son, who is 4 1/2, was born. He saw Dr. David Bromberg at his 2-month check-up, and I was so impressed with him that I've requested him ever since. My 2 1/2 year old and 8 month old sons also see Dr. B., and they love him, too.

We all go to Primary Care Assocites in Frederick (56 TJ Drive location) and see Dr. Herman. She is our family dr, so she sees all of us, which is wonderful. Dr. Herman is so sweet and laid back. I never feel rushed and she always reassures me.

You might want to look into a family practice, too. My three children have been cared for since birth (now they are in elementary and middle school) by the Middletown Valley Family practice doctors, and we really couldn't be happier.

My neighbor takes her son to the Pediactric Group. She loves it there. She is trying to convince me to swtich. I take my two to the Children's Doctor in Boonsboro. I live in Brunswick so its the same distance as Frederick...gotta see Dr. Straus at that practice though. He owns the practice and has been there for 30 years. He's great!
