hi,
I recently was faced with the same delimina when I had my son's 1st hair cut at 10 months. We took him to cool cuts in Plano -- We live in Coppell - but I was like you, wanting to take my son to a kid-friendly - or baby-gentle type place. Their info is
Cool Cuts 4 Kids Inc
###-###-####
4801 W Park Blvd # 417
Plano, TX 75093
They are quite reasonable, and will even let the child sit in a car or your lap (whatever you prefer). And they give you a photo and a photo holder to mark the occasion in your scrapbook as well. We had an appt when we went - -but they looked like they would take walk-ins as well.

Hi, I took my 25 month old daughter for her first hair cut just a few weeks ago. We went to Cool Cuts for Kids, by the Target at Coit and Campbell in W. Richardson. They were great and offer a First Haircut package with a photo and lock of hair for the same price as a normal haircut. They have video monitors at each station and the child can view his/her favorite movie during the haircut. "Finding Nemo" is my daughter's favorite and she spotted it the second we walked into the salon. I would recommend that your son see either you or your husband having a hair cut first, so he would be afraid. Good luck! N.
