Try looking at http://www.JustSettling.com, they have a good section on finding doctors (including recommendations). Go to Medical Matters and ob gyns are under Primary Care Physicians. Good luck!

Dr. Scott Osmun is my favortie.

Congratulations!!!

I second the recommendation for Robert Footer. I also had IVF two years ago and Dr. Footer came highly recommended by our IVF doc. I went to him for the first time for my first prenatal appointment. Unbeknownst to us, the baby had already died. We discovered it when he did a sono that day. We were devastated. Dr. Footer was so compassionate and so caring. He called us later that day just to see how we were doing. Even though we didn't know him, he was so empathic and rearranged his weekend schedule at our convenience to do the D&C. He is such a wonderful person in addition to being a superb OB/GYN. His office location and contact info is in another post below.

By the way, I am now 9 months pregnant and a few days past my due date! Best wishes for a successful and healthy birth!

Dr. Robert Footer is wonderful. He is his own practice - so you get him everytime. I've gone to him for 15 years and he just delivered my first child on August 1st. He has offices in DC and Rockville. The DC office is on New Mexico Ave near American University. The phone number is ###-###-####. He is there on Tues, Thurs, and Fri. He is in his Rockville Office on Mon and Wed. Good Luck.

Dr. Edward Oliver he is in Maryland by PG Plaza but he delivers in Maryland and DC. ###-###-#### He may or may not ask but he delivered both of my children in 95 and 98. If he ask just tell him Kim S. gave you the number

Dr Collea at Georgetown University Hospital (you can get his number from the hospital's site) specializes in high risk pregnancies. He delivered both my kids. Good luck!

I'd happy to suggest two groups of midwives that practice out of Washington Hospital Center. One group does all their visits in the hospiral clinic. The other group is at the DC Develping Families Center which is a Free Standing Birth center. The latter one also gives you the option of having your baby at the birth center. Midwives are a wonderful option for care during pregnacy. They spend more time with you than an OB, and you have more options in your labor.
Call Washington Hospital Center and they can give you their numbers.
IF you have more questions about midwifery care, please feel free to contact me.
