Does anyone know of a good, extra-sensitive gynocologist in the Glendale/Peoria area? I have never seen anyone except my OB doctor when I was pregnant and that was 2 years ago. I have some issues, so I need someone who is sensitive and gentle. Please, let me know if you know of anyone. Thanks

What can I do next?

My OB/GYN is Dr. Nancy Harris. Her office is located next to Paradise Valley Hospital. Her number is ###-###-####. She has the best bed-side manner! I've had some bad experiences with GYN's and I will never go to anyone else but her. She is wonderful and I highly recommend her. If you take the 101 to the 51 and exit Bell Rd., it only takes about 15-20 minutes to get there.

I agree with the previous post on Desert West OB/GYN. I've been going to them since 2001, but my doc is Nina Wilkey at the 59th Ave/Union Hills location. She's very knowledgeable and answers all of my questions in a gentle manner. I've also seen a few of the nurse practitioners and everybody has been great!

Hi A.,

I have an Ob/Gyn who is VERY gentle and sensitive. He's very soft spoken and listens to everything and answers all of your questions before you leave. His office is located right next door to Arrowhead Hospital. The doctor's name is Dr. Hetal Shaw and the phone number is ###-###-####. I hope that this helps!

Hello A.-
Sorry about your issues, hope things get better.

My OB/GYN is Dr. Lisa Jaacks she is terrific! She just delivered my 2nd son in April of this year. Also, before that I had saw Dr. Nina Wilkey; however, she no longer does OB appts just GYN. However, they are both great. I just have really grown fond of Dr. Jaacks - she is a little more relaxed. Dr. Jaacks is at 57th & Eugie and on Wed'____@____.com. Wilkey is @ 59th & Union Hills. Good luck.

Due to a horrible experience during my college years with an ovarian cyst, I DESPISED going to any OB/GYN for years. I've tried both women/men doctors and until I found Dr. Robert Saretsky, I'd never been completely comfortable. He was with a group and decided to go out on his own. I GLADLY went with him...he is the nicest, gentlest, kindest doctor I've ever met. He always shakes your hand, talks to you and asks how things are, how you're feeling, etc. He is fabulous, I recommended him to one of my friends and she was completely in agreement.

I have a great OB. He does not deliver babies anymore - only bad part, so if you are thinking of more kids...he might not be the way to go. He is always on top of things (and lectures when you don't come in for regular appts, etc.!). He was my OB for my second son and delivered him, but now he has stopped delivering babies. His name is Dr. Patrick Kennedy and he is located on Eugie Avenue in Glendale near 59th and Tbird. Email me if you want his number, etc.

The gynecologist I see was recommended to me by a mid-wife when I had my first child. I didn't feel comfortable doing home birth with my first child, which was all she offered, so she said in her good conscience, he was the only doctor she felt comfortable recommending and that he is extremely gentle. I tried him out, and now, four years later, will be delivering our second child with him. He is very sensitive and very gentle. I can't recommend him highly enough. His info is below. Good luck to you!

After 3 I finally saw a Female OB.
I had gestational diabetes and had HUGE babies.
My other doctors seemed to think that because I had over 8 lb. babies, I could have more. (at 38 weeks)
So after my 9 lb, 11 oz. baby (2 weeks early) I decided for SURE that I would see a female OB for my 4th baby.
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Tom who was wonderful with my 4th prenancy!
Needless to say I couldn't deliver my 4th son naturally as he was showing full-term build at 34 weeks, so I had a c-section.
He was over 8 lbs at 36 weeks and in the best interest of mom and baby we had a c-section per dr.
Her nurse is Jackie and is the nicest nurse yet!
She's off of 59th ave/T-Bird-south off Eugie.
GOOD LUCK!
