I am celebrating my son's first birthday in a few weeks, and I was thinking of getting the event catered. Does anyone have any good experiences/recommendations for caterers around northwest or north suburbs? I'm looking for something a little more upscale than pizza :)

Delicious food & great service at D'Absolute Catering on Irving Park. We've used them several times and always get compliments. Just used them for a Christmas party for 50. Ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, rolls for 7.95 a person plus tax.
Whenever we have a party catered and want more than pizza or chicken we go with Corky's Catering. They are located in Addison but deliver all over. They also have a website. They have a large selection available though we usually get teh chicken and beef packages.
I use Cuomo Catering in Northlake for alot of things. Reasonable prices for alot of food and they have different menus ranging from buffet/casual to "prima" menus.

i need a catering company in a couple of weeks also and everyone keeps recommending "catering by michaels" to me. we live in glenview and i think they are in wilmette or somewhere around here. you can look it up online, but, they looked good to me when i checked them out and they have been highly recommended by quite a few people in the area to me.
