Looking for a Dr

I need to find a good general practitioner here in san antonio. I prefer female dr's to male...

It is getting close to time to have my yearly exam done, and I don't really know many people here that have any suggestions...most of the people I have talked to can't help much cause their spouses or parents are millitary so they don't use a dr I could use...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

well at first I was just looking for a general pratitioner, but wound up needing ab ob anyway :) going to Dr. Karen Carcamo, and I absolutely adore her... she eased my fears the first appoinment by having an ultrasound done on me...the tech had already left for the day, so she wound up doing it herself, although she cound't take the measurments to determine how far along I was we were able to see the heart beat :)

A., if you haven't already found a doctor, I can highly recommend Beverly Zavaletta. Her office is on Bandera close to 1604. She's in the phone book.

Good Morning, A.:

My OB/GYN is a male, but there are a few women doctors within his practice. Call the Seven Oaks WOmen Center ###-###-#### and ask for the names of the female doctors.

I hope this helps.

Bless You and Yours,
G.

My OBGyn is located in Blanco Rd. Her name is Virginia Aguilera-Sytek. She is really good and the best thing about it is that she has a private practice, so if you ever decide to have another baby (like me :)) she will be with you all thru the pregnancy including delivery. The only thing is that she only delivers at North Central Baptist (which is on the Stone Oak Area). Check her out, she is worth it.

My gynocologist ( I believe that is what you are looking for ) Is Dr. Paul Troutman and he is wonderful. He actually saved my life due to a very emergency c-section.
His office is off of Babcock road and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Karen Carcamo is a very good GYN. She is with the Institute for Womens Health located here in the Medical Center Area.
