30 Weeks Pregnant - Need Referral for New OB at Baylor Grapevine

I am 30 weeks along and found out my doctor no longer has privileges to deliver the baby at Baylor Grapevine. We really like this facility, and would like to deliver there, so are researching new OBs to switch to quickly.

I prefer a female doctor. Any recommendations of doctors who deliver at Grapevine would be much appreciated!!
Thanks!!

Another vote for Doreen Moser. She was WONDERFUL! The only bad thing is she relocated to Grapevine from Las Colinas when I was pg w/ #1 (she had been my doctor for 7 years already). So, when I became pg with #2 and we were now living in Frisco, it was just too far away.

Dr. Julia Flowers delivered my daughter almost three years ago and I really liked her approach. The practice is Obstetrics and Gynecology of North Texas, located in Grapevine.

Congratulations!

WOW, it is scary to change drs at this time, but Baylor Grapevine is a good hospital with many great features.
Womens Integrated is a practice with 6 wonderful all female OB-GYNS. The newest Drs there Kindrick and Lopez are as great as all of the other 4. Dr Moser, if you like a smaller practice was a nurse and is now a great OB. Her practice is without any other MD's and very personable. Dr Robert is a great OB also in practice with 2 male OB's. They all practice at Baylor Gpv.
I hope this is helpful, I have worked in LD with most of them and now I teach classes for all of them at The Nestingplace. If you havent had your childbirth classes yet please feel free to give us a call, we will be happy to get you in.

Dr. Timothy Rost is in Baylor Grapevine as well. He's delivered my two sons and my sister's two girls. He's also my mothers OBGN. He is a super STRONG Christian with an amazing staff and personality. He was wonderful with my personal health problems as well with my pregnancy. You won't find a more caring, honest, trustworthy or standup guy. Good luck!

Since you prefer a female, I would suggest Emily Emmet. She just started at a new practice there and also has privileges at HEB I think. They are called The Woman's Group. ###-###-#### and you can see her website at dremmet.com. They have offices in Bedford and Southlake.

If you don't mind a man, I had a wonderful OB/GYN- Dr. Michael White. He was wonderful and I was able to speak very candidly with him too. It was my first too. He is with North Texas Women's Center. He can be reached at ###-###-####. He has offices in Keller and at the bottom of the Women's wing at Baylor Grapevine.

Good luck.

A., I don't have an OB recommendation as I choose to use a midwife but my advice would be to listen to the L&D nurse - they ALWAYS know the good docs.

Dr Alan Cowen at Comprehensive Women's Healthcare. I've been his patient for 15 years. He's more calm and easier to talk to than Dr. Neal (his partner). The entire practice is good, but he is definitely the best. His nurse, Kelly is wonderful too.

Hands down Dr. Moser! She is a female and is at Baylor Grapevinve. I have a 22 month old and she delivered him and I am expecting boy number 3 in May and she is going to deliver him. I would have had my first boy with her, but I lived in Waco. She is patient and super supportive.

I will only see women OBGYNs, so I choose Women's Integrated Healthcare. The office is located next to/across from Baylor Grapevine. They are a group of 5 doctors, all of whom are women. Dr. Allen is my personal doctor and I love her. The other doctors are great too. I've delivered two babies at Baylor Grapevine with Dr. Allen and I wouldn't have it any other way. Good luck!

My doctor delivers there - Kerry Neal, MD. However, he is a male. He does have a female in their practice through that you might want to try. Their practice is Comprehensive Women's Healthcare ###-###-####. If you don't mind having a male OB, I highly recommend Dr Neal. Dr Neal has been my OB for the past 4 years. He delivered my daughter and I am now pregnant with twins. He will deliver them in about a month. He is really great.

Rebecca Robert is fantastic. She delivered my twins two years ago and was SOOOO patient (they were born almost two hours apart). A less patient doctor would have given me a c-section for the second one.

I've been with Dr. Katrina Allen at Women's Integrated Healthcare for 5 years, and I love her! She's delivered both of my sons (first was emergency c-section, second was voluntary c-section), and one of the other doctors in her practice, Dr. Coulter-Smith, followed up with me while I was still in the hospital. I like her a lot too. Both are very personable and professional. As others have mentioned, all of the doctors in their practice are female, and they're across the street from Baylor Grapevine. Good luck in your decision!

I, too, use Women's Integrated Healthcare. My OB is Dr. Walters. I don't think you can go wrong in that practice. All fantastic women.

I use Dr. W. Pierre Robert for my pediatrician at Baylor Grapevine and he is married to Dr. Rebecca Robert, the OB that one poster uses.

Best of luck and congratulations

I delivered at Baylor Grapevine, and my OB was Dr. Troy New. I know you said you prefer a woman, but Dr. Troy New is amazing. I used to also prefer a woman OB-GYN, but after Dr. New, I will never go back to anyone else - man or woman. He is super nice and professional. You will feel very comfortable with him. Also, his office is right there at Baylor Grapevine hospital. Very convenient! I highly recommend him. Michelle

Hi A.,
Congrats on your pregnancy...I have a recommendation for the BEST doctor in Grapevine. I have a 3 y/o dtr and I have been going to this doctor for 10 years now. She's wonderful. I had some complications with my daughter's birth and c-section and I would trust no other doctor after the care she gave me. Her name is Doreen Moser, she practices at Grapevine Baylor and her office is connected to the hospital. ###-###-####. Baylor grapevine also has a fantastic maternity ward...all the nurses and EVERYONE there were fantastic.

Good luck and here is the link to Dr. Moser's website in case you are interested.

I've seen recommendation for Dr. Julia Flowers on here. But beware, I know first hand that she is C-sect. happy. She is known for making it seem like your baby is in distress and needs an emergency Csect but really she just wants to get home to her family for the night. Other Drs. have complained about her practices, calling it unethical. What makes it worse is patients love her thinking that she saved their babies...if they only knew. Plus, she is notorious for overbooking her schedule so good luck getting an appointment. Last I checked for a new patient who only wants a PAP has to wait a year! If you want a great Dr. in that practice go for Dr. Wai instead.

Just another referral for Women's Integrated in Grapevine. It is across the street from Baylor. Dr Cope delivered both of my sons and I have seen the other Dr's as well when she was unavailable. They are terrific and very supportive of you and all of your decisions. I continue to see them as well as their Nurse Practitioners for all of my needs.
