Late to the Party?

I USUALLY get on board with things right from the start but sometimes things get past me like how GREAT something is. My current "find" is Justin Timberlake. YES, Justin Timberlake. I was never a big 'boy band" fan unless you count Duran Duran but I find him very funny and interesting. His SNL skits and digital shorts are genius.

I was also late on watching "Rescue Me" but made up for it in a week by watching ALL of dvds I could get at the library. I'll miss that show now.

What have you found that you love WAY after everybody else?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I too was never a Neil Young fan until he played Farm Aid in Milwaukee. My husband gave me the big "I TOLD YOU SO." I can listen to him but not look at him. He needs a big scrub in the tub!

Over sized off the shoulder shirts.....this is the like third time they have been popular...and I am just now liking them.

The Tv show Weeds...LOVE IT.
I was also late on the Office craze...but now I love it.
I have yet to move into ''The Future'' when it comes to electronics....Everything is evolving so fast...That I am gonna wait until the boom is over and things level off..there is just so much out there...Ipods,ipads,notepads,maxipads on lappads......I really can not keep up with it all:)

Some things I would rather be late then never with......Eventually everything comes around to being relevant:)So, some day I may want my ipad to call, watch and live my life through:)

Friends. The show. I wasn't ever around to watch it since I worked second shift and I didn't find it until it was re-runs.
Everbody Loves Raymond. Same reason.
Mary Tyler Moore show. I wasn't around for the originals but loved Nick at Night to watch re-runs.
Madonna. I grew up in a very rightwinged religious home and we were not allowed to listen to her. After getting out of the house I was listening to her and LOVING it!

Lol!!!! When I first read this I thought you meant Justin Bieber!!! For a while there I was not computing. I came late to iPods, but once we got them, our household technology just flew! Now we have moved beyond the iPods and my husband has set up some remote music/movie thing, and apple tv etc. iPods certinly got us moving technology-wise.

I had my daughter in 2000 and while on maternity leave 'found' 90210. My sister would laugh at me because I was all like "I can't wait to find out if...." and she was like - that was 5 years ago and you are the ONLY ONE IN THE WHOLE WORLD who doesn't know if Donna and David have sex!!!!!

I was also "late" to the Black Eyed Peas party - I didn't jump on board until the END tour in 2009 and my sister was all "my humps" was soooo 2005!!!!

Well I haven't found anything to love yet, but I find time for Mamapedia!! My sister has just discovered Justin Timberlake herself, we were talking about that last week. And I have never even heard of "Rescue Me". I guess I need to turn on the tv more.

I didn't watch TV for nearly or slightly over 10 years. (Not out of a moral thing, because I was places it wasn't an option -military, and then when I got out I was in off the map places, and then working 36 hour shifts back stateside; sleep do another 36-, and then I was home with 'normal' life with a new baby and in college. Then I took some time off school and had my son all day and worked all night (3 hours of sleep caught in naps for a year or so). No time. Pure and simple.

I've spent the past 2 years catching up. I think I've finally found and watched all the "good" ones. There may be a few out there. I'm on a mission from gawd to find them, because I'm laid up and bored. I've also sifted through a lot of slush :)

I was completely prejudiced against both JK Rowling and Stephani Meyer for different reasons. When I realized I was scorning without having read them (horrifying, HATE it when I catch myself doing that) I found two great series.

I have a VICTORY!!! though.

I never find "new" music. Ever. In fact, I get teased all the time in my 'late coming' on music (seriously, I never listened to Led Zeplin or the Grateful Dead until my 20's). But I heard this AMAZING song on a show I was watching. I rewound and cranked it up to get the lyrics. Typed them in. Fell in LOVE with the artist. This was about 2 weeks before Adele started winning awards left and right and being played on the radio like crazy. HAHA. Victory.
