Kicking/stiffening Legs While Nursing

For the past few weeks, my 13 week old has started having issues while nursing...she'll begin nursing and a minute or two later she's wiggling, stiffening and kicking legs out. Then after several attempts, she refuses to nurse. Not sure what's going on? Gas? Reflux? But why all of sudden? Also, scared this is going to cause my milk supply to lessen since she's only nursing for a few minutes (probably getting a few ounces at each of her 7 feedings). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Wow, looking at all the other responses it could be a number of things and you really need to get her to the doctor. My three all nursed and with my first he would kick and stiffen his legs because he was not getting enough milk. I found that expressing the milk after a feeding helped with the next feeding. I see above that you have two other kids, did any of them act this way when you nursed them?

Stuffy nose? Sounds like frustration to me! Maybe she is gassy, mine was definitely that way, have you changed your diet recently? Burp extra often, that is what I had to do with my daughter. Good luck and hang in there!!

Is anyone else/was anyone else sick in the home? She might have an ear infection -- you don't necessarily run a fever with that every time you have one. Every time a baby w/an ear infection tries to eat - it causes pain in the internal ear/pressure.
Any time there's a change in how much she's eating (eating less - more fussy during eating) that's usually of sign -- so pediatricians what to take a look at babies when this happens -- check for illness, etc.
