Hi Mama's,
Anyone ever stay at Key Lime Cove in Gurnee? We are thinking of taking our soon to be twin 6 year olds for a Birthday weekend.

Was it a good stay or would u not recommend it? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated :)

Enjoy the sun, it's finally here and it's a Saturday, yahoo!!

What can I do next?

we took my three year old and newborn back in February. Our three year old had the best time. He still talks about it now. Lots to do for all ages. Very pricey to eat there-if you are looking to save some money- take some food to keep in the hotel for a few meals. We had a blast. Enjoy

Some friends of ours with kids about your kids age went there and loved it. Also the Gurnee Mills Mall is just almost "across the street"...and they have a huge food court there as well as some other restaurants. They also have an ice skating rink there, so you could have tons of stuff to do. Have fun!

My daughter took her kids (8,6,5) there over the summer. Said it was great. Her only complaint was that they all wanted to go different directions lol. she stayed in the hotel attached to the park. shehas plans to go back

We went over Father's day weekend with our then 21 mo. old. My husband and I were very impressed by the size of the park and how nice the rooms were. We liked the smaller "kiddie" area mentioned in another post, but there will be TONS for your kids to do. Go for it!

Funny M. I was just looking into this too. I was wondering though if it had activities for a 1 year old if anyone could chime in!

We were there last week with my 2 and 5 year olds and they loved it! There is a separate kids area with 3 slides that go into a couple feet of water. There is also a wave pool, lazy river and a big water play area with more slides, etc.

They have lots for the kids to do. There's an arcade and a place called Leapin Lizards where they can do crafts. The resort is beautiful with many restaurants to choose from although the food is a bit pricey. When you check in they give everyone a wristband to wear. This gets you into the waterpark and it also is your room key. Everything in the resort you can charge to the wristband which is nice so you don't have to carry money around.

Have fun!
