Karate/Gymnastics & Swim Lessons for Almost 3 Year Old Little Guy!
Hello Mom's ...
I am looking for a place in the Troy area to take my little boy who will be 3 in October for Karate or Gymnastic classes. I am also looking to place him in swim lessons.
Thanks in advance for all your help!! I look forward to seeing your responses as I ALWAYS get great ones from Mom's on MAMASOURCE!!
Have a fantastic day!
So What Happened?™
Thanks to all for places to take my lil guy for gymnastics/karate & swimming!
He's signed up for Gymnastics thru Troy Community Center & starts next week. As for Karate - I WILL have to wait til he's 5 or 6 ... like one MOM said they won't take 'em any sooner! Swimming - we'll start next spring. I don't want to overwhelm him w/ activities since he will also be starting nursery school next week!! Thanks again to everyone for their ideas!! ALWAYS a help!

Have you tried Community Ed? Do a search online for City of Troy Community Ed, or for the School System in your area. I take Adult Ballet through our School System Comm Ed, and I took my daughter to a swim class through another town. These classes are usually good, and are a little cheaper than some private places.

Troy Gymnastics is a great place. Also, Troy Black Belt Academy is great for when he turns 3, we have been going there for 3 years.

Hello there - I'm not sure about the karate lessons but for swim lessons I would take your little guy to Goldfish Swim School in Birmingham - it's absolutely wonderful. My five-year-old has been going for over a year and was really scared before and now he loves swimming. The staff are all very kind - no making kids scream - and it's a really fun environment. It's on Cole Street at the far end of Birmingham. Have fun.

Lifetime Fitness has great swim lessons. I checked for Karate for my son (now 4) and most places want them to be at least 5 or 6.
