HI A. HOW MANY CHILDREN DO YOU HAVE HONEY? I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY 4TH AND STARTED HAVING ALOT OF PAIN AND PRESSURE DOWN BELOW. WELL I LOVED MY GYNS BUT THEY THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS MY FOURTH PREGNANCY SO I WAITED ANOTHER THREE DAYS AFTER TELLING THEM OF THE PAIN. THEY DID A TEST AND FOUND OUT MY AMNIOTIC SAC WAS "BULGING" AS THEY CALL IT ANOTHER WORDS IT WAS DOWN IN MY CERVIX. THEY ADMITTED ME RIGHT TO THE HOSPITAL I THEN HAD TO BE UPSIDE DOWN FOR A WEEK TO TRY TO PUSH THE SAC BACK UP THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! BUT IT WORKED THEY THEN PUT A CERCLAGE IN AND I WAS HOSPITALED FOR 21 WEEKS. MY BABY STILL CAME EARLY AT 35 WEEKS BUT AT LEAST I GAVE HER A LONGER STAY IN UTERUS AND SHE WAS HEALTHY I WOULD LET MY GYN KNOW HOW I WAS FEELING AND I MEAN STRESS YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY TEST TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS WRONG! DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! ITS BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY! I WISH YOU ALOT OF LUCK PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS OUT FOR YOU AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU STEPH

I would say you know yourself the best! If something doesn't feel right to you or your worried I would make an appointment and talk it over with your doctor. The last stages of pregnancy are so tough! I hope you start feeling better soon.

This happened to me when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I went for my last exam and my MD stated that I wasn't dilated. I ended up having contractions 2 minutes apart when I was 38 weeks. I was only in labor for 6 hours. Your baby is probaly getting ready, you might experience some braxton kicks for a couple weeks. Just try to relax. Good Luck!

I was the same way with my son. The bones cracking is the head pushing against the pelvic bones to separate them for delivery...totally NORMAL. The pressure is from that as well. I started having full blown contractions at 34 weeks and was dilated to 4 cm. It stayed this way until one day before he was due!!! So don't worry, it is all completely normal. My son is completely healthy and happy!!! Also, remember babies usally get bigger as you have more...one more thing, you could be farther along than you thought! Good luck, relax, enjoy this time it will soon be even harder to sleep for other reasons! :)

I'm not really sure, but I just wanted to encourage you to call your doc - even if you think it's for a silly reason! Let us know how things go. =)

I'm not sure if you are feeling normal pain or if it is abnormal. Please call your doctor to let him know what is going on. It could be something to do with sleeping on your back. Although I'm sure you don't start that way, you could try sleeping with a pillow behind your back to see if this helps you to stay partially on your side. It may be simply a combination of Braxton Hicks contractions and the low position of the baby. To be sure it is not something you need to worry about, though, call your doctor. He may tell you to come in and have it checked or may be able to give you a better idea from your personal history of what could be causing it. It is probably nothing to worry about but it is important that you check to give yourself that peace of mind that comes with knowing that everything is going well. Good luck and I hope this message has helped.

A., my little guy is now 5 months, and I was pregnant this summer- he is my third. OMG the pressure I felt!!! We would try to walk around our block- very short distance, and I could barely make it. I had to stop so much. It almost felt like a burning sensation in the groin and inner thigh. I also thought the baby was ready to pop out! It started around 7 1/2 months also! God forbid we would go to the mall! I did get checked, and everything was ok. I was early by 3 days for the due date, so nothing crazy there, and he is just perfect. At night I would also get shooting pains, as if he was trying to kick his way out- and he was head down for the longest time. I would be laying in bed and all of a sudden I would yell out in pain! It would scare poor dh. It would go away shortly after, but oh my did it hurt! I wasn't having contractions or anything, just a LOT of pressure. Not sure if it was because it was my third, and the body just fell back into pregnancy mode sooner or what? I was also older- 39 and my other two are now 12 and 10!
I wouldn't be too worried about it, but by all means, call your dr and make an appointment to get it checked. I was high risk due to my age, so I had more regular appts at that point, and would mention it when I went in. Everything was ok, he was just resting so low that it caused all the pressure.
Good luck, and keep us posted!
