Irregular Menstrul Cycles

OK, so a little over two years ago I had my tubes tied because we were done having kids. Ever since that time my cycles have become more irregular. I am now at the point where I am having a cycle every other week! For the last four months I have been put on birth control to regulate my cycle. If I wanted to have to take a pill everyday I would not have had my tubes tied; but this is information that was not given to me two years ago.

This week my cramps are becoming more painful not to mention I am simply tired of having a period. Last month it lasted all month, then I was fine last week and now today I have started bleeding again with painful cramping. At times I think that I should worry but the doctor tells me it is just my body confused. If this keeps up I think I will be "confused."

Has anyone had anything like this? Should I be concerned and will I ever get back to normal? At this point I really am becoming desperate for answers. All the doctor tells me is that I just have to wait until my body gets regulated. But two years is really a long time to wait; how much longer should I wait?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hi S., when I had it done and never had gone through what you are experiencing. I know of other women who had similar issues and were able to regulate their body with Nutritional Food Supplements. Let me know and I will be happy to connect you with one or two so they can share their story. The supplements are safe and effective for overall well being for all ages.

Wishing you much Blessings!

How old are you? I also had my tubes tied with my last baby, and within a year or so, I noticed my cycle was changing. I thought it was because I was nursing, but even after that ended (about 2 years after giving birth), it stayed irregular, painful, and occasionally torrential.
Dr said same "hormone adjustment", blah blah blah. Finally after 3 years of hating it (and hemorrhaging!), I saw a different Dr who ran a couple tests and told me I was perimenopausal (I was 39- but it can start even earlier), and that I could try some homeopathic or all-natural progesterone cream for 6 months and see if that didn't help.
MIRACLE!!!
Within 3 months, my period was regular, much lighter, and I felt less on-edge. I still use it, now 45 years old. Went off of it for a while, but within a few months, I was back in the old pattern (or lack of! LOL). Now I can see where I'll use it for as long as I need to.
Anyway, not sure if this relevant to you, but thought I'd pass it along. I use Emerita Progesterone cream- no estrogen (don't need it)- smallest dose (1/4 tsp, 1xday for 1 week, 2xday for 2nd week). Check with your doctor for your own needs, of course.

I'm having a similar situation. I had my tubes tied 18 mos ago, nursed for 12 mos and then got my period back. I has been very irregular, like 8-10 days early the past 3 months. I had no idea this was a possibility either. Just called my OB. Hoping my body will "regulate" soon, as well. I'll be interested to hear if there are lots of women with this situation. Thanks for posting!

Sounds like you body needs help adjusting itself. I can only imagine how I would feel if I were in your shoes.

There are natural products that might help your body regulate itself. Have you heard of Shaklee? It is the #1 natural nutritional vitamin company in the USA. We offer a 100% back money guarantee if you are not satisfied. There are 2 products that I think would be good for you...Menopause Balance Complex and GLA Complex. You can private message me if you would like to discuss any other problems you might be having as well. Our website is www.provenpurepotent.com

I pray you find relief soon.

I did the same thing after my tubal. You dont say how old you are.I was 29. Not sure if age has anything to do with it. Mine lasted about a year. You sound like you are going through menopause. I would consult a different GYN.

Ok I had my tubes tied 13 yrs ago and i am now 36 but mine were irregular and cramping more heavily up until I was about 31 now I am almost like clock work and my husband can almost tell me when i am going to start if i forget. I have heard it varies so ladies sorry about it but yes this is a side effect of the tubal but it will get better. just have to bare with it for a few years until your body figures it out.

I had my tubes tied after my last baby, but I don't remember that my periods changed dramatically. I had never been regular and always had severe cramps and bleeding. My periods did begin to change prior to menopause. Much of the same stuff you are describing. And that went on for several years. If you are over 35, then this could be what is going on.

I had the exact problem-I was bleeding more days in the month...I was going through the huge pads hourly-I was very anemic! I did have some fibrous tumors down there-they found before I finally had a hysterectomy-which was great! BUT- recently I was diagnosed with a very hyperactive thyroid! That affects everything in your body! Have your doctor check it out!

Good luck-please check with your doctor before doing any home remedies. There might be something really wrong. If your doctor is good-she will find out what is happening. My doctor does like the home remedies-but wants to check them out first to make sure it doesn't interact with other things!
