I'm participating in a mom event next month. I'm looking for ideas for a giveaway. Something creative that I can attach my biz card to. I was thinking some type of candy (lollipops, chocolate) wrapped with pink and blue ribbon. Any ideas. What's something that would be appreciated and used.

Thanks.

So What Happened?

I forgot to mention this was for 500 people so many of the nice cute things I wanted to do was out of my budget. But I have decided to give out highlighters, with a note referencing "kids being the highlight". Also attaching my business card. Thanks for all the ideas. I will keep in mind when I do something on a smaller scale.

Go to every Target in town, and comb through their giveaway bins. Refrigerator pads with magnets are great. Also, I got really cute makeup bags. I used them to "wrap" presents. There is always something different.

I'd also discourage the candy idea. Last thing anyone needs is more processed sugar at events like these.
I'd suggest a packet of seeds either wildflowers or some to plant trees.

I will speak up and say, I would hate to get candy. I mean, it's nice for you to give anything, but I am always impressed with soemthing useful - like lip balm, small hand lotion, a few good quality pens or sharpies tied with a ribbon, post it notes (NOT with your logo!), starbucks gift card, even altoids. Good luck with your business!!

Seed packets are always good. And cheap from Big Lots and places like that.

Contact BellyBar.
E-mail me at I will give you my contact there (as I run a mothers group for my neighborhood)
They will send you a few 100 small sample bars and coupons. You can use double sided tape and stick your business cards to the sample bars. The bars are very healthy and the sample size bars are about the size of a business card! Free free free. ;-)
Hope it helps!

I agree with the ladies that have already posted. I don't know what the home business is but make it have a connection. Maybe on the back of the business card give a discount if they order (if applicable)

You don't say what type of home biz it is.

small bottles of hand sanitizer
notepads
kleenex
pencils (orientaltrading.com or lillianvernon.com for personalization)
