We did one of these parties too when my daughter turned 4yr. Party city had some great decorations (castle back drop for pics) etc... We also put on the invite for all of the girls to dress like their favorite princess. We also have extra dress-up clothes here so if there was a little girl that came without, we let her pick out a dress to wear. It was alot of fun. We also went to Michaels and purchased these foam princess crowns along with some foam princess themed stickers made for these hats, glitter glue and "rhinestone's". We had all the kids sit down and make their own crown. It was great!

Oriental Trading Company has great things.
They have a kit to decorate tiaras/crowns...
That could be an activity.
You could also get BIG cardboard boxes and make a castle by connecting them in your backyard. If you use your imagination, some duct tape on the inside and some inexpensive paint. I have a friend who did this in gosh, 1996,
Disney also has a princess dress up trunk and I think Lilian Vernan too. Sounds fun.
GOOD LUCK

All aboard toys online without the spaces. This carries a variety on characters plus party supplies and its cheap and ships within two days. Very reliable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great ideas at www.familyfun.com. I used some of their princess party ideas for my daughter's 4th.

For part of the fun, I set up an area of the living room to be used as a princess photo shoot. All the guests cam dressed in their princess attire, and we took a snapshot of them with my moms digital camera. We used her printer dock to print each kid's picture out. THen, they decorated their own picture frame. I bought some clearanced blank cards, cut the center out of the cover of each card to make a frame. Give the kids stickers and glitter glue, sequins, buttons, beads, etc. and let them decorate the frame, then tape the photo in the card.

Most stores have the indoor pinatas. They are smaller pinatas that have strings coming down from the bottom of the pinata. Each child picks a string and pulls; one string will actually pull the slot that opens the pinata. That child is the "winner"! Actually quite cute. I used them when my twins had a party at Gattitown in a party room.
