Hello. So I am not pregnant bu I have quit a few stretch marks from when I had my son mostly on my hips. Well starting yesterday my side is iching like crazy and now its all red and looks like my stretch marks are puffy. Is this a sign I have recieved a couple more to the gang? I think I remember them iching when they first appear? Anyone know?

What can I do next?

The itch is a sign of trauma or healing. Either you banged your hip on something and it irritated the scar tissue, or if they're new stretch marks, they could be 'healing' (when they start going from red to pink to silver)... but most likely from injury. Run a washcloth under cold water and put it on there, it helps with the itch, redness, and swelling :)

My two cents--mine itched when they healed up a bit. I used lotion and tried not to scratch, lol. Hope that helps!

My marks get itchy when I have not been applying enough lotion. Maybe try slathering them with some high moisturizing lotion (I really like the neutrogena hand formula for those "high-need" areas).

I hate that itch because I know that means I'm growing! That's what it feels like when the skin is stretching. You can apply cortisone for the itching and inflamation. It helps instantly.

If you itch them they get SO much worse! It just means it's either healing or stretching more.. keep it moisturized that should help with the itching and keeping your skin soft. Good luck!
